Crowds the week AFTER Thanksgiving

We usually take our holiday trip the first week in December but due to school programs this year we are going earlier than normal. Are the crowds as low the week after Thanksgiving?

We arrive the Sunday after Thanksgiving (11/26). I am expecting that day will still be busy at the parks so we are going to lounge around the resort.

We will be there 11/24 through 12/2. This is the time of year that we always go. That Sunday that you will be arriving is actually the start of the slow down time. We noticed that once Sunday hits...everyone is going home from the Thanksgiving week. So the parks are usually not that busy. And the rest of the week is fairly slow. It has started to get a little more busy then it used to be. But the waits for rides are not long at all. You should look into going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party too. It's great fun and can really get you in the mood for Christmas.

Hope you have a great vacation!

Oh yes, we have our tickets already - 11/28....and we are thinking of getting tickets to go 11/30 too.

Thanks for the replay on the crowds, you have an awesome vacation too!!

This is the time we always go as well, and we are going to be there this time as well. I don't think I have ever been upset being there during this time. Sometimes it can be a bit busy, but I hope this year is slow :) See you down there, leaving the day after Thanksgiving and will be there for the following week.

I'll be down there for a quick trip at that time too (Nov. 26-29). I'm usually stuck traveling during peak weeks (Christmas, Easter, President's week), so anything less than huge crowds will be a real treat for me.

Can't wait! :cheer2:

It has been our experience that those days are generally quieter and will be until around mid December when things start picking up again.

This is the week we are going and we are counting on low crowds. We are also planning just to hang out at the resort on Sunday, may head over to catch the Spectromagic Parade after dinner.

THis is the week that we went last year and it was GREAT!! No crowds to speak of and on a lot of the rides we didnt even have to get off because no one was waiting to get on. I loved this time of year and hope to go again. You will have a great time and it wont be crowded!! :thumbsup2

very lite. friday and saturday is large but still small compared to july. longest wait we had last year was 30 mins for soarin'. noticed by the end of pop warner week some groups at MK. other then that it was nice. weather was wonderful. i hope this helps.

Just a piece of advice (don't boo me out there everybody else), but this will be our 4th MVMCP and it is very nice to go each year, but I don't think you will find it a worthwhile investment to pay for tickets to go twice on the same visit. JMO

Have fun, we will be there on the 27th!!!! Can't wait!

Hey everyone  We are going about the same time. Nov26th-Dec.2nd.

two more for that week :)

nov 25-dec 2. see y'all there!!

No booing here, but I guess I'll find out if you are correct about it being a poor investment to be going to the MVMCP twice. I'll be at The World during the week after Thanksgiving as well (on a solo visit this time), and have already purchased tickets for Tuesday and Friday. My thinking was that I could hit the rides one evening, and the shows and parades the other (and have a backup date in case of poor weather); I'll see if it was worth it to me. :)

Enjoy.

This year I only bought tickets for one night (the 28th) and I should have known better. (we usually do go twice) I spoke with mom last night and asked if she wanted to go more than once this year and she said of course!

My mother LOVES MK at night - the lights, the atmosphere, cuddling up with the grandkids to watch the evening parade and fireworks. Couple that with Christmas decorations and atmosphere and she is in heaven.

We're also going to be there that week from 11/25 to 12/2. We're doing MK on that Sunday and hoping for the best. We'll be going to the MVMCP on the 28th and it sounds like a few others from here are going on that day as well. This is our first trip around the Holiday season, so we are all very excited.

Just look out for a 46 year old man with a stupid grin on his face chasing 3 kids DS7, DS6, and DD6. We're going to have a blast!!!

Hope everyone has a great vacation!!! :)

Ok now, I think we hit our limit, I don't think anyone else is allowed to go during this time frame, it is getting crowded ;) Just kidding, have a good trip all.

We are going Nov. 26th to Dec. 3rd and doing the MVMCP on Nov 28th....

I would love to have a quick meet with fellow Diser....

We are taking my youngest son and his girlfriend (who has NEVER been to Disney!) for their Christmas gift.
I can't wait to show them what Disney World is really about, I have learned SO much from you guys here, all the secrets and tips to make a trip to Disney so magical.

We are staying at the Pop for 7 nights anyone else gonna be there??

Is there anyway to know who is a fellow Diser??

Maybe we could post our iteneries and figure out somewhere to meet??
