I was looking at the unofficial crowd calendar and wondered if this could possibly be correct... on scale of 10 being worst crowds and 1 being no line at all, it had

Oct 27th as a 4, 28th 3, 29th 3, 30th 5, 31st 4 (really...on Halloween???); Nov 1st 5 (which isn't bad for a Saturday), Nove 2nd 6.

I see hardly any 3's on the calendar at all, so this looks like a really good week....

Anyone have any experience?
Christine

i dont have the answer for you but i am also curious as we will be there 10/19-11/02 where did you get the crowd levels from??

:hippie:

I'm going the same week and was also wondering about the crowds. I wouldn't really expect the parks to be extremely crowded because of school.

We were there from the 21st to 4th November 2007 .It was busier than January ,and the MNSSHP Events do mean you have to pick your MK days well ,but it was ok crowd wise ,never had to do long lines on the rides ,but still used fast pass .I'd do it again at that time .Be aware that most of our British schools have 1/2 term hoils at this time and if the exchange rate is still ok we'll be out in force!! There were LOTS more brits in florida than we have ever seen on our other trips .

for 2007, we were there Nov 1-8. We hit MNSSHP on 11/2 as well. I hadn't been to WDW since 1995, so didn't know what to expect crowds wise, and I'm not a very patient person as far as lines for rides go. I thought the week we were there was VERY enjoyable. The longest line I hit all week was EE mid-afternoon (close to 60 minutes...luckily for me, I was a single rider, and that line only took 7 minutes!). I saw Soarin' at 45 minutes once - again it was in the afternoon. The only other long line I saw was Indy Speedway and that was about 30 minutes.

If I can get crowds and lines on every trip I take to be the same as my Nov 1-8 trip, I would be thrilled!

btw...to relate it to the crowd calendar, our week was mixed with 4's, 5's, and 6's. There was a 7 one day, but I never noticed any "spikes" in wait times, etc...

This picture was taken November 1, 2007 around noonish.

Not very crowded at all.

I think it's the best time to visit. Not only will you see the fall decorations out but on November 1st you will catch the Christmas decorations out as well. The weather is great! You may need a light sweater at night and no shorts at night as well. The crowds are the lowest I have ever seen (and I have visited 5 times).

We will be there then also this year.

We went that time frame in 06 and it was perfect. Saturdays were busy, but the weekdays it was quiet. We NEVER used a fastpass once in our entire trip. Heck, we won Dream Fastpasses twice and gave most of them away because we didn't have to use them.

As long as you time it between the UK half term break and Jersey week, it's perfect.

2007 was more crowded than in the past. We went last year 10/23 - 10/31.
Epcot and MGM was crowded, MK and AK was not as bad. Now, saying that the last part of Oct is a good time to go but, the crowds are getting a little more each year.

We went that time last year and walked onto everything. It was wonderful!!! Going again same time this year.

We'll be there for Halloween this year! :thumbsup2 Late October is an excellent time to go to WDW! :goodvibes

My parents were there for that week this past November. They told me they had no more than a 10 minute wait anywhere. They won fastpasses, but had no reason to use them because lines were non-existent.

Do Christmas Decorations really go up Nov. 1?? I have been there the last 2 times around Christmas and I was really hoping I'd get to see the Fall Decorations. We are there from the 31st to the 8th.

I heard they went up the following week???????:confused3

Can anyone tell me what the crowd calendar says for 10/19 - 10/26?

We went about this time in 2006 and had a WONDERFUL week. It was weird, there were plenty of people there ... but the ride lines were short. If we get another week like that I will be very happy!!

We were there at this time about 3 years ago. We followed the UG touring plans and we were fine, but compared to the last week in August this past summer, I thought the end of Oct/beg. of November was more crowded! Especially MGM and Epcot. Of course, the weather was better in Oct/Nov!

I"m not from NJ, but I think this is around the time of "Jersey Week", at least it was the year we were there. We were there because our school system also has a few days off around then for teacher work days.

No, no, no.

It's an awful, miserable, crowded, torturous time to go.
Please choose another time when it will suit you better...
