crowds/park hours late April/early May?

HI,
Has anyone ever been in late April early May when the Regular Rates are in effect? I was wondering what the park hours were in the past at this time and will we get to see parades(Spectromagic)? Any info on this time would be helpful. Crowds? Weather?
