Crowds on President's Day weekend?

Just booked 3 nights at Wilderness Lodge for Feb 13,14, & 15th...wondering how the crowds might be, as bad as July?

It is a pretty crowded time. Many NE schools are out on winter break and there is the Daytona 500. We usually go during President's Week but cant compare to July.

I have a school break poll going and it's up there with the week before Easter for school breaks.

We were there leading up to that weekend, and I was amazed how the crowds ramped up towards that weekend. Too busy for us, I am glad we left on that Saturday. We had been at MK on Monday and Friday and the crowds were so bad on Friday, we were glad we only had a few things to get in.

We are staying at SSR for 5 nights (Feb 12 - 17th), for dd birthday.

We went last year the Wednesday before presidents weekend, and stayed until the thurs of presidents week. The days before the weekend, were great!! Wait times werent long at all, parks werent crowded at all. Saturday it started to get crazy wait times were ridiculous, I think we went to mgm that day and werent even able to ride the rock n roll rollercoaster, because by the time our next fastpass was available it had no fastpasses left. Sunday we went to daytona for the race, but then monday through thurs, it was like everyone just moved down to disney from daytona, it was definetly comparable to july crowds! hope that helps!

I skipped going President's week the last two years. The crowds didn't bother me, the cost of airfare did! Going to try again this year. I'll do anything to get out of NY during the winter!!

Do crowds clear out before the end of the week? Wondering if people like to come home early or do they stay the entire week?

We are going in 2010...We are taking the 4 night cruise (Sun-Thurs) and plan to stay in Disney Thurs and Fri night after the cruise...What are the chances things quiet down by the end of the week?

I'm curious. What size room did you reserve? We're on a wait list for the 15th at Wilderness Lodge. We'll be there the 12th through the 15th, and hopefully the night of the 15th too!

We are in a studio, we are also wait listed for the 15th and have a cash reservation for that night

The crowds on President's day are the worst I have ever seen at MK.

I know the schools here in GA have that week off for "winter break" (don't know why when we just got 2 - 3 weeks in Dec).

With good planning, you will be fine, but don't expect it to me low crowds just because it is February.

I agree with lllovell the crowds are horrible President's Day. You have the Northerners and the Floridians.

As a veteran of 4 Christmas-NY weeks, I can say yes it's crowded, but it's not as bad as Christmas. TGM really helps.

We were there last President's Day weekend and I didn't think the crowds were all that bad. We went to the parks @ 9:00 am and got on most of the big rides by noon. With a little planning and not trying to see everthing you should be fine. I kind of plan our day out (not commando style), use fast passes, and visit the parks early and late and we didn't have a problem.
