How bad are they really??

DH and I celebrate our 10th anniversary on Good Friday 2005, and DDs are off of school all of Easter week so I was thinking about taking a trip to WDW then (arrive on Thurs, 24 Mar then depart Friday, 1 Apr).

DH is REALLY worried about the crowds (WDW is more my thing anyway  ). I know they will be high especially Easter weekend, but is it doable?? DDs will be 6 and 3 by then.

Appreciate any thoughts.

It will be crowded. This year the attendance at multiple parks reached levels where they were closed on several days. Really depends on how well you and DH can handle the crowds (or don't mind them). I personally try to avoid the wall-wall people. If you go, know you may only accomplish 4-6 things for the whole day, and that's w/ good planning.

We went this past Easter week and yes, it was very crowded, but doable. The closer to Easter it was, the worse the crowds were. We arrived Thusday, April 1 and it really didn't start to get unbearable until the following Tuesday (the Tuesday before Easter). That day we went to EPCOT and by 10:00 AM there were 2 hour + waits for Mission Space and Test Track with Fast Pass return times at around 5:30  . Thankfully, that was our 2nd EPCOT day, so we just did the attractions that had more tolerable wait times.

We have visited WDW the last 6 years at Easter and it is very doable. Yes, the crowds are large but with some planning it's not that bad at all. We went into all 4 parks this past Easter vacation and did every single ride that we wanted to. There were some long waits but if you plan accordingly, it's doable. Make sure to take advantage of the Fastpass system. The long hours make it easier also. The parks (MK) is usually open until midnight, which gives you time for a long break during the afternoon. You just have to relize before you do the parks that it will be crowded and to not get frustrated. Overall it's a wonderful experience being in WDW for Easter.

Totally Do-able!! We went this year on Easter Week, after past trips during slower times of the year. We thought we'd be overwhelmed. During that week my DH, several times turned to me and said "where the @#$% are the crowds we were warned about. It was awesome and I'd go that week again in a minute. Get up early and go do your thing!!! We woke one morning to Teaming Rain, got to MK (w/ our ponchos) at 7:30 and were the 1st at the turnstiles, and then proceded to conquer Fantasyland in under an hour. It was the the best. Have fun!!
