Crowds last week in Sept?? Maybe I was wrong after all?

I appreciate all the input:goodvibes

I'm sure it will be a good time no matter what but I'm liking all the posts indicating smaller crowds and short lines! I loved my end of January trip so hopefully end of Sept is even better.

I just realized today we arrive in WDW in 19 days :cool1:

We were there from Sept. 22, 2010 to Sept 28, 2010. We stayed at AKL which was full (no empty rooms).

Regarding crowds, I guess its relative. They were smaller than end of January 2011 when we went again. However, they were not non-existent. As long as you were in the parks prior to 11am, you could ride on the larger rides with a 20 minute wait or less. However, after that time, the waits were considerably longer. Soarin and TT both had 90 minute waits consistently through out the day. Even Jungle Cruise had a 45 minute wait.

We were hoping to walk up and find a great seat 20 minutes before MSEP. That did not happen either night we were at MK. You had to scope out a seat at least 60 minutes before.

We were at MK on the 26th...I was surprised at how busy Main Street was.

At park close we did have to wait for the buses...two or three busses before we could get on. However, we did not have a problem getting on the bus any other time.

But, the crowds were definitely lower than end of January...and much lower then beginning of June.

I was monitoring the wait times the week before and they were much lower...I wa amazed that at 7pm, Soaring only had a 10 minute wait...on a sunny day!!

You will have a good time.

Also, as I'm booking ADR's all of the popular ones are hard to get. In fact, we almost upgraded to the deluxe dining plan but as I was trying to book ADRs it was hard enough to get one good TS meal a day much less 2.

When did you start trying to book your ADRs?
We are going 9/24 until 10/1 and had no problems getting what we wanted but we booked at 180 day window. Anything inside 90 days would be tough.

We're going the same dates! See you there :thumbsup2 I also booked all my ADRs at 180 days exactly and got everything I wanted. I've been trying to alter a few since early August but haven't had any luck.

 well.....I didn't start booking ADR's until late August...it was a last minute trip! I've actually been able to get everything I want I just have to check the online site 100 times a day and check the cancelled Sept ADR thread about as often.

I would like to swap nights for 2 restaurants though so I keep checking hoping I can switch the nights of my two ADR's...I guess we'll see??

I know it's not the right thread for sharing ADR's....but since we're talking about it, anybody wanna share :rotfl:

I'm so excited to get there and eat (isn't that sad!!):
Day 1: 'Ohana
Day2 : Crystal Palace
Day 3: Sci-fi
Day 4: Les Chefs

Would love to make CP an hour earlier and swap Sci-fi and Les Chefs but if it stays as it is then I'll still be happy

And these are all new places I'm trying so my diet will be out the window!

Maybe we'll see you. We arrive on 9/24! I'll be the one with the brown and pink polka dot backpack with my alien green Mickey head attached. Oh and we'll be a rather large group of up to 11 people, one in a wheelchair.

We'll be trying Cali Grill and Raglan Rd. for the first time. Yea FDD!:cheer2:

I'll keep an eye out for ya! We arrive 09/24 as well and are staying in Port Orlean's French Quarter :yay:

I'll be with an 11 year old and my parents (my dad on an ECV or ECV - haha, whatever the right acronym is). I don't think we'll have anything else distinguishable but I'll look for the polka dot backpack and alien Mickey head and if I see you I'll say "Mouse's Shadow" and see if it's you!
