My family has always been to US/ IOA in October when the crowds are low and we are able to ride frequently without a wait. This year due to a change in the school calendar, we are going to have to wait until the week of March 11-17 to go back. I have been at Disney during July and August when the crowds were unbearable! An experience that I choose not to repeat. What can I expect from the crowds at this time of the year?

I have never been there in march BUT i think that whole month would be pretty busy to do spring break, but again i have never been there in march but i have been there the end of febuary, and it was pretty packed to do Mardi Gras.

We visited 13th-27th this year , the first week the crowds were light but got busier the second week, especially at the weekends.

School calendars can be found on this page.

The counties near the parks are Orange and Osceola. For the Tampa area, it's HillsBorough.
Orange - 03/13/06 to 03/17/06
Osceola - 03/20/06 to 03/24/06
Hillsborough - 03/20/06 to 03/24/06

I'm sure there will be some crowds. The key is to arrive early each morning. During busy times, they usually open at 08:45am. If you arrive at 08:00am, and are near the front of the line, you can go into the park first and knock out the major attractions before the crowd arrives. I've gone on Hulk, Dr. Doom, and Spiderman in 15 minutes when the park opened early. Most people sleep in and show up at 11am. Don't do this. Think of it as a school day, wake up at 6am and get moving. You will be rewarded with a lap of walkon rides until everyone shows up at 11am. Go back to your hotel in the afternoon to rest, come back at 5pm, and you'll see the tired leaving.

I fully agree and that is the plan we adopt at the theme parks also.
