Please offer your 'expert' advice to this relative novice! My DH and I would love to plan a visit to coincide with our anniversary in late April of next year. We honeymooned there several years ago and it was quite crowded the week immediately following Easter, what what about the week or 2 follwoing that? If anyone could offer an educated guess as to crowds in late April of '06, it would be much appreciated!

We were there in late April of this year and found the crowds to be very manageable. Once Easter passes and before the schools all let out for the summer tends to be a bit of a slower time. We stayed from Sunday to Friday and enjoyed the EMH, then heading back to the pool and room for a break before heading out to shows like Illuminations and Fantasmic. I think you'll find late April to be a real delight, personally. :paw:

We were there in late April/early May of 2004 and there really were no crowds. It was a great time to be in WDW - enjoy! :sunny:

Late April this year WILL be the week after Easter (Apr. 16). I suspect that the crowds will be at the moderate level as they tend to be this time each year. They will get heavy again as the Memorial weekend closes in, then should remain steady throughout the summer, then drop in late August and September. We already have our late April/early May trip booked (Apr 23 to May 6 @ BWV). The weather makes up for any crowding you encounter. As always the weekends will be the worse. Lots of locals like to visit this time a year before their blackout times start on their seasonal APs, plus there are many school groups having their senior trips, and of course, Grad Nites too for several weekends at the end of April (which doesn't affect the parks during the day very much--but MK will close early on those Friday and Saturday nights)

We were there in Late April/early May 2004 & 2005. We noticed much more of a crowd in 2005 but lines were still quite manageable. The parks just seemed to be more crowded everywhere. The weather was great.

Thanks to all! I am trying to make my DH see the light that a crowded day at the World is still far better than any day at work...
