Crowds Here I Come!

Oh goodie I leave in two days!!! I want to thank everyone for the crowd reports. At least I know it won't be like it was this time of the year in 2002. But here are some thoughts about crowds and Disney World. Just remember that it's more than just the rides and how long it takes to get on them. It's the atmosphere, the little things that need to be soaked in. And it's also about making a good plan. Getting there early, using Fastpast, and making a list of what you really want to do are the keys. Oh, and taking it easy and not getting too rushed! A friend of mine is going down the same time we are and she was just going to "wing it". I strongly advised her to make a plan! So my passporter is packed and I'm ready to go!

I agree with your commentary!!!! It will be interesting to see how your vacation goes when compared with your friends. I strongly believe that you need a plan. It doesn't need to be detailed like a SWAT Team, but you need one...

We tend to avoid the crowds, but since my husband had no say when his leave was, we went in August - not my first choice. Now that I've experienced "peak" season, I didn't think it was too bad. At least I don't remember the crowds. What I do remember is the heat!! I would avoid August for that reason alone!!
