Crowds/FOTL needed last week of August?

I will be taking my crew to IOA/US either Thurs 8/31 or Fri 9/1. I noticed the park hours are scheduled to be 9-7 and 9-6 on those days. What can I expect for crowds? FOTL overkill for this time period? We will be staying offsite. Thanks!

I was there on monday aug 29th, 2005 and it was only my 2nd time at us/ioa ... my first time was march 8th, 2005 ... and in march we walked right on the rides ... in august we waited about 40 mins for our first ride at us and my dad couldn't handle it and went and bought 6 express passes ... we woudlnt' have got to see barely anything if we hadn't of done this .... so i recommend it ... i have never been there in the summer so i don't know how the end of aug crowd compares to mid summer. Hope that helps

The end of August is usually not crowded at all. The dates you want to attend however are Labor Day weekend so may be a bit more crowded. If you can try and go on the Thursday.
