With it being Father's Day, do you think this will have any effect on the crowds? We're not staying onsite so won't have early entry. What do you think the lines will be like for WWOHP and FJ if we go to the park at regular opening? Thanks. :)

We are going to be there as well! I am hoping the crowds will not be bad, but I was there the week before christmas and the HP area was filled up within an hour or two of the park opening each day while the rest of the park was nice and not crowded at all. So, I think HP is just always busy. The only times that you are going to get in with no wait is to arrive when the gates open up to the public. Also, towards the evening the area starts to clear out and you should be able to get into the HP area about 3 hours before park closing which will give you enough time to hopefully see what you want to see.

However, this Saturday is the Nelly concert at the Studios which is FREE! If you do not care about seeing him, or will not even be going to the Studios that day, IOA might start to clear out sooner than normal becuase people will be going to the other park to see the concert. I know I am! So, the evening might be even less crowded for you.

I just want to be able to get into do FJ and maybe have a frozen butterbeer and then I'm not so concerned about the crowds. It's my son's birthday and I'd like to be able to start the day off without too much of a hassle with the crowds, kwim? :)

If you make it to the parks about 20 minutes before the park opens, then you will be at the front (or close enough) of the line to get into the park. Once they do the rope drop, follow the TM's and the rest of the crowd as they walk you back to HP. Once you get into HP, ride FJ first. There will already be a line becuase of the early entry, but it should not be overly insane like it can get once the park has been open for an hour. Once you are done with FJ, then grab your butterbeer!

There are four places I know of to get Butterbeer. They have two carts with it. One is near the main entrance to HP and the other is near the Jurrasic Park entrance to HP (also close toFJ). Another one is inside the 3 Broomsticks. Finally my personal favorite since it never seems to have a line is inside the Hogs Head Pub. Riding FJ first thing and getting your Butterbeer right after will start off the birthday without much hassle. Enjoy your trip! Only 3 more days for us!!

Thanks for the advice! :goodvibes

We'll be there during that time as well! I'm really hoping it won't be too packed, but with Saturday being the 1 year anniversary of WWoHP, free Nelly Concert, Summer, a weekend, and Father's Day weekend... I don't know, sounds like a lot of reasons for it being pretty busy.

We were there on June 2,3 and it was very busy. There will be tons more kids out of school by next weekend.

We just checked out of RPR anhour ago and went to IOA yesterday. We did early entry for WWOHP but generally the park was very manageable. Surprisingly so. We left WWOHP around 9:30 when it started to get crazy and hit all the other rides and hardly needed the Express Pass. We left around 1:00 and came back at 7:00. Hulk was a walk on and FJ was listed as 10 min although it too was a walk on. Olivanders was a 15 min wait and honestly (flame suit on) totally not worth it.
