Crowds Easter week vs June

We made 2 sets of reservations, one for Easter Week (Easter to Thurs) and one for the first week of March (would have to pull ds out of school). How bad ARE the Easter weeks crowds? We went June 13-19 this year and didn't find it that crowded. Can anyone compare the usual mid June to Easter week crowds??

We have been at WDW at Easter and in early June. Without a doubt, there are fewer people in June but I think that the hours of operation are shorter, so in my opinion, it is just a personal choice.

I have never gone in June before, BUT . . . . . never again will I go during Easter. It was awful. We've been 5 times and that was by far the worst. It was so bad we spent a lot of our time at the pool not even utilizing our passes. You couldn't move in the magic Kingdom.

In June, we arrived at the parks at opening and went back to hotel to swim around 3,4 and then went back to the park at night. Is it even really crowded during the morning? Maybe we will pull ds out of school. I hate to do that, but we have reservations for the week before proficiency testing and it could be our little protest against those stupid tests. Ds is sick of them already and it's only Oct.!!

That bad, huh? My DW and I are contemplating on whether to reschedule our trip to WDW from late June to Spring Break. We've dealt with huge crowds at nearby Disneyland but we managed. I wonder how it compares?... Decisions, decisions...

We have gone during spring break about three times before. Easter is terrible nothing compares to Easter. It was the year it was really early, two or three years ago. I don't know if for some reason that having something to do with it or not?

IMHO the operative word is "plan", "plan", "plan"..... I went Easter 2002 with daughter and two grandsons and had no problems. As a matter of fact, we spent Easter Sunday at MK - got there at opening, did everything we wanted by 11am - then had brunch and shopped waiting for the parade..........On the other hand, I've been other times of the year; and Easter was definitely crowded, but doable................Enjoy.....

I pulled DS out of school in March 2002 before Easter week thinking we would miss the crowds of Easter. I ended up wishing I had not bothered as I happened to be there the week Florida schools had Spring Break. Ours is always at Easter so I never thought to find out if theirs was at a different time. It was crowded! We witnessed several people running into school mates in lines. I heard one Mom tell her son "Well ofcourse we saw --- everyone in Florida is here!" I think they were too!

We go on all the holidays (not by choice). We are used to the crowds and almost find it odd to be there if the place inst packed. We get around it though from experience but, Easter-spring break is by far the worst time to go. Little extra to be seen, unlike christmas time, crowds are brutal and hours arent always extended late.

We went this past Easter and had a very enjoyable trip... WE always opened the parks, utilized EE, stayed until noonish and went back to our hotel to swim, have lunch and rest! We usually hit EPCOT around 4 and was able to ride the great ride there as well as having lots of great choices for dinner! We enjoyed the trip so much we are headed to wdw for Christmas 2005!

We'll never go during Easter break again. Sure, the parks are open later, but that's only to accommodate the large crowds!

One morning we got to Epcot right as it opened and headed for Test Track to get fast passes. Evidently lots of other people had the same idea. It took us 10 minutes to get fast passes! The return time was 4 hours later!

No more Easter break trips to WDW for us!

It's interesting to read everyone's experiences!

We have been going the week after Easter for several years, not by choice but because that's our spring break and we would never take our kids out of school. They're excellent students but we jsut don't believe in it. Plus, they're in so many other activities (sports, music etc) that they would be missing way more than classes!

Easter week is busy but thankfully, we've never found it overwhelming and we've never had a problem! It's always been a wonderful time and hopefully will be this march, also.

We've been able to do everything, some things several times, with Fast Pass and GOOD planning. One year we did Rockin Roller Coaster (our fave) *13* times and TOT *4* times over our three days in the park, in addition to doing everything else.

So, it IS possible. But you DO have to plan, go early and use Fast Pass.

I was just looking at the 2005 Unofficial guide. It has a new feature that ranks the crowds day by day for the years 2004-2005 on a scale from 1 (least crowds) to 10. Easter SUnday is ranked a 10, but the next day is an 8 and the following days 6,3,3,4. Hmmmm.

We went the day after Easter last year. Oh man, the crowds were horrible! We waited 2 hours to get on the Haunted Mansion. We then decided never to go again at Easter. We always go in June and there are quite a bit less crowds when we go. It is a bit hotter, but we hit the parks in the early morning and then do the late nights, which are great, so we avoid alot of the crowds and heat.

We've gone in June twice now and are planning on going back June 2005. The crowds are a lot lower and we do all the biggest attractions fairly easy with fastpasses. If you plan it just right you can finish one ride and go straight to the next one. June is hot, but you're in Florida and at Disney World, so who cares????
