Crowds during May

We are going to WDW during the 2nd and 3rd week of May. Can anyone give me an idea of what kind of crowds we can expect? I know they will be kicking off the anniversary celebration, I believe the 5th of May.

I've been a few times during the beginning of May, that's my favorite time to go! Low crowds, nice weather. Perfect. The closer you get to Memorial Day weekend, the crowds pick up. I went during that weekend last year and I could tell the difference. I'm doing the same thing this year, due to scheduling; but since I have 9 days, I'm not gonna sweat it. Gonna be cool and just do our thing. When it gets crowded, we'll just head somewhere else. The first 2 weeks are great! I can't speak much on the Celebration issue since it's new, but I don't think it will be a problem since it's going to be going on for some time. Have fun!

I will be there at SSR May 14-21 - WDW is celebrating the 50th anniversary of MK (in Cal) - there are supose to be lots of new stuff!!!

this is generally a pretty slow time - but this year some of the WDW resorts have dates already sold out.

I don't think it will be as low crowds as May generally has.

May is a nice time to go. The weather is warm enough without being too hot and the crowds are not bad. I prefer Christmas but May is not a bad time to go. I will there from May 20 to May 27. I don't get too excited about the theme of the celebrations; there's always a reason to celebrate!

We will be at SSR over Memorial Day weekend, 5/29 - 6/1. We weren't planning on going to the parks because we thought it would be swamped...will the crowds not be as bad as we thought??

You'll also be there for some Star Wars weekends at MGM Studios. We were there the last part of the month and the crowds were moderate. We've also been during July and that was just a madhouse -- never again. But definitely would do May again.
