How are the crowds before, after and during President's Week?DH and I have always gone to Disneyworld during low times (we've been spoiled), and now we have to go during the month of Feb. during 2nd, 3rd or last week. Is it really crazy during this time? Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Dis cocacolamom! We have been to WDW before, during and after President's Day and I would say the busiest time is from the Thursday before to the Tuesday after President's Day.

Big V, thanks for your reply. We are looking at going Sun-Sun, so we'd be catching the busy crowd Thurs., Fri. and Sat. This will help in making our final plans. Thanks again for your info!:)

Presidents week is one of the busiest at WDW, not quite easter but it is up there. I would go the week before or after if you can.
We went the week before and into pres week this Feb and the crowds were fine until that saturday, sunday they got worst.
But Disney is Disney crowded or not.

Stacey, I really appreciate your info. We are looking very seriously at the week before, and it helps when someone else can give us some help in making the decision. The family and I will just be leaving as it gets busy...gotta love that, but like you said, "Disney is always Disney"! Thanks again.

237 days and counting! :Pinkbounc

What group of the American public has off on Presidents week that they can crowd up DW that week?
I'm planning Feb 7-14, I guess we'll have to get most of the imporatant stuff out of the way 2-7 to 2-12, could be worse :-)

Here in Mich. most schools have a week off during the Pres. week, they call it mid-winter break (hey, winters are pretty gray up here and we need a mid-winter break!;) ) The town I live in is a college town so we go by their schedule and have off the very last week in Feb. We are going to try that week in 2004, it will be peak season rates but kids won't miss school. This year we pulled them for a week Feb. 6-12. BTW, crowds were light until the 11 and 12th, we were told it was Daytona week and it was also Mardi Gras which all add to the Pres. crowds!

I'm here in Michigan too and around here it's just the norm anymore to have it off. Yes, the gloom sets in and we need a little sunshine to lift us up!!!

I, also, talked to an AAA agent the other day and she said that alot of the East Coast schools take that week off every year. Could be another reason for the people. I did hear that Daytona brings in the crowds to.

Thanks for your input!

We don't get the whole week off, but we do get the Friday and Monday off at the end of president's week. We took advantage of the time off and headed down to WDW this past February and can honestly say the crowds just weren't there. I remember many things being a walk-on and I know we never waited more than 15 minutes for any ride. We felt it was much more crowded over Memorial Day weekend.

Of course it did rain EVERY day during our February trip, so perhaps that had something to do with the light crowds, who knows?

At any rate, I have to agree - Disney is Disney and any day at Disney is better than a day at home!
