Crowds before Christmas questions

I've been doing searches for crowd information, but can't find info about how the crowds were the week BEFORE Christmas. We're planning on going next year December 16-23. (Maybe the fifteenth if it's the last day of MVMCP.)

I was wondering if the pre-Christmas crowds were worse this year since Christmas falls on the weekend. (As it will again in 2005.)

I'm also assuming that earlier in the week they'll be a little lighter, and ramp up as the week goes on. Will it be tolerable with small children?

I've gone during that time period every year for the past 4-5 years. It's great. It can be moderately crowded but definitely manageable. We are always able to ride everything we want and see everything we want to see with little or no difficulty. The crowds start picking up each day as you get closer to Christmas, but I think the *real* crowds start on Christmas Day and after.

We were there the 16-26 in December and had the most magical trip ever!

Just plan PSs, take advantage of Early Entry and FastPass and you'll have a terrific time!
