Hi,

We are headed to Universal for our first visit to the WWOHP August 18-21st. Will the crowds be dying down by then? We are staying onsite, so we have early entry. Just trying to figure out what to expect. :)

Thanks!

The last week of August is the week we normally go, and the lines are AMAZING (in my opinion). As an example, lines for FJ were about 15 minutes. Spiderman, doom, mummy, and MiB were walk-ons. I would hazard a guess that the week you are going will also be nice, as I believe the Florida schools are back in session at that point.
Have alot of fun!

You're right at the tail end of summer season with those dates. Crowds should be dying out, but a little hard to tell. Come back and let us know!

We were there during that time frame last year and it fit into my definition of "moderate" crowds. The WWoHP got very crowded but everywhere else was pretty manageable all day long. We made sure to do one day of early entry at WWoHP to go to Ollivander's and to tour the castle and ride FJ for the first time. After that, those who wanted to ride again used single rider. (FJ held a steady wait time of an hour plus pretty much all day long.) We also hit the WWoHP shops either early or late in the day as they were difficult to maneuver mid-day. Otherwise, it was really easy to tour the parks - gotta love that Front of the Line Perk! Most waits for the popular rides (Spider Man, MIB, Simpsons, etc...) ranged from 20 min. to an hour but we just breezed on by each time!

Thank you for your replies. I hope the crowds will be only moderate. I am sure that with 4 days and front of the line, we will be okay. I will let you know how the crowds were when we return. :goodvibes

we were there around that time last year and will be getting there on the 19th this year. :woohoo: it wasn't bad last year. harry potter was the only place we really waited in lines, most others were a few minutes and thats it, if you have the front of the line access, not sure about waits without that, but the parks weren't crazy crowded.
