We've stayed at the BC and YC and the last time we were there the BCV were going to be open soon.

My question is...Has SAB become alot more crowded(since BCV opened)?

We are planning on going this summer and if the rates are good we'd like to go back to the BC, mainly because SAB, but if it has become too crowded we might go elsewere.

We have stayed twice at YC before BCV opened, and stayed at BCV twice since it opened, and find the pool to be about the same - crowd wise. They are MUCH more strict now about keeping out 'pool hoppers'. Everyone has to have a wristband and to get one you have to show your room card.

Here are pictures taken on a beautiful 'pool' day last July. It was busy, but we didn't find it crowded at all. You can judge for yourself...

Before BCV opened, DVC members could pool hop to SAB. My husband and son loved it, so we hopped over there from OKW in the past. When BCV opened, we bought points there so we could stay there instead and use the pool.

I think it may be a little more crowded at times, but I also think the wristband is also an attempt to keep the locals and others who are not even supposed to be pool hopping (let alone DVC members) out of the pool and keep it for YC/BC/BCV guests.

WOW. After seeing pictures of SAB I may have to rethink my thoughts about staying at Boardwalk this May. What a fabulous pool!

I stayed at the BCV last August and used SAB. I didn't find it crowded at all. They were strict about only YC, BC or BCV guests entering the pool. Guests had to show room cards and were then given the wrist bands.
