Can anyone tell us how the crowds are at both the park and FW. We are wanting to come down the middle in July. Didnt know if fuel prices are making a difference? Thanks
Jill

There is a post on here a couple of days ago that stated they just got back and FW and the parks was packed..

We have only been once in July, plan on it being some what crowded. You could take advantage of early and late magic hours and swim in between.

We where then at the end of May...and didn't notice any difference. People are going to have their fun.

My impression of the crowds over the last couple of months was that there were more visitors from other countries than from USA. I guess the weak dollar, makes this a great time to visit from abroad.

I think mid July it will probably be about an 8 out of 10 as far as packed goes. A lot of people will have vacationed for the July 4th weekend, so you'll get a bit of relief from that, but it's getting into busy time so I doubt it will be dead.

Just got back on Saturday 6/21 after a week at the Fort. The Fort was almost full, there were a few empty spots here and there. The parks were packed but you can do well if you have a plan. For us, we went to parks not having extra magic hours and used fast passes. We rode everything we wanted except Soarin...wait was 110 minutes one time we checked and 90 the other. Get there early or go late. The only disadvantage to going late are that fast passes are often gone for the day. We had great luck doing MK late...we even saw the fireworks from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad...pretty cool! Definitely do fast pass for Toy Story Mania at DHS. Our strategy for most of the big rides was to hit them first when the lines were low, ride them and get a fast pass for later so we rode most of the popular ones at least twice. With a plan and acceptance that you won't be able to do everything, you'll be fine.::yes::

Got back sunday and as another poster said the parks were busy but when you plan around that, you can get on everything pretty quickly. We had very little waiting using the fast passes and watching which parks on certain days. The only thing we didn't get on was the Toy Story 4-D as it broke down and had fast passes way later in the day. We had 2 young kids with us so we got out before they were due. Gave them to someone else to use who didn't want to wait until 9:30 PM.

Hi - we just got back yesterday from the Fort. Yes, the parks were very crowded. Use FP as much as you can...this is really the only way to get on the popular rides when it's this crowded. Get your FP's early as they are gone early in the day. The longest wait lines we saw were for the new Toy Story Mania Ride (which is fabulous) and Soarin. Space Mtn had long waits but we were able to beat the lines by doing EMH. The Fort seemed pretty full with some empty spots here and there. We saw a lot of big motor homes...I thought we would see less of those because of the high gas prices but I guess it isn't scaring everyone off. Our gas cost more for us than originally planned so we took out some of the meals we had scheduled to compensate for that.

We went to the Fort and Disney last July and everything is VERY crowded (and hot!). The Fort was completely full though I didn't notice it being crowded. The parks on the other hand were just not enjoyable for me. Too many people + too much heat=crabby family:rotfl:

I would go to the Fort again in July but I would probably just hang around and do Fort things or DTD (though that was really crowded too).
