OK, there is a little background to this question.

My husband enjoys going to WDW but wants nothing to do with the planning and never asks me any questions regarding our plans. The other night I was discussing MVMCP and how only 20,000 people are admitted. He asks "well, how many are there during the day when we're there"? Ack! I'm totally stumped. We will be there the 2nd week in December. We were there the same week 2 years ago and crowds were non-existant, I don't think we waited more then 15 minutes for anything. I have to answer my smart-aleck husband ...does anyone have a guess as to how many people are in MK during the day at that time of year?princess:

The Unofficial Guide lists December's average daily attendance to be 15,000 visitors. This does not include Christmas week- then it goes up to 70,000!

Just my two cents - we've been to MVMCP twice, both during the second week of December. We found it to be fairly crowded, at least compared to MK during the day at that time of year, but it's manageable if you focus on the special events. Assuming that you'll be spending time at MK some other day, don't necessarily use MVMCP as a time to see attractions. Focus on the shows and parades and take full advantage of the other things like free hot chocolate and cookies and the family photo opp. Get to the parade route or show site early and stake out a good spot. This is what Disney does best. The attractions will be there another day, and if you're there the first half of December, the park won't be crowded at all.
