I'm thinking of going to WDW April 5 -12 instead of June 21 - 28. Do you think the parks will more crowed in April than June? It seems the resorts are selling out. I'm trying to avoid the heat of June. Any thoughts will be welcome!

To me the first week of april is a prime time for spring break. Also Easter is April 16th, and I have heard that Easter is a prime time for parks. Check out the Unoffical Guide to see what it has to say according to their website for your dates in April the crowd index ranges from an 8 to 10, although the same is true of your June Dates. My guess is go with it. We have only been in September and I am not about to go any other time of year as we both enjoyed the lower crowds, although we did see some crowds at the Magic Kingdom on our last day.

Good luck with your decision.

We went from April 23 thru May 4th last year and since Easter was early the parks at that time were very managable. Even though it was right before the start of the Celebration. We walked on most rides like Test track, Splash Mtn and even Soarin ! Weather was perfect! High 70's to mid 80's and no humidity! We never broke a sweat. It was totally comfortable! And it doesn't rain much in April. This year with Easter being a little later it will stay crowded a little later into late April I'm guessing. If you can go in the beginning of May you'll still beat the heat and most likely the heavy crowds. The beginning of April will probably be quite crowded but weather will be great. If you go in June you'll have both high crowds and high heat and humidity to deal with. I would probably do April if I were you, it's alot easier to deal with crowds when the weather is cooler. We're going in the very beginning of March (2nd thru 9th)this year and hoping it isn't too crowded.
Good luck and have a great vacation ! ::MinnieMo

The weeks before and after Easter have always been a extremely busy time, comparable to Christmas week. However, the weather is great in April. If you could move your trip to late April that would be ideal. Other than that, June is your next option. We find June extremely hot and humid, but it only gets worse in July, August, and September. We are going April 23-May 6, with dauther and 12 year old grandson arriving April 30-May 6.

Hi!

Since my last trip in December I totaly am spoiled with the low crowds at the parks - this is why I have been doing some "research" for our next trip. We have decided that the last week of April will be our next adventure to the World. I believe early April you will get all the spring breakers etc and you will see a definite increase in crowds - feel free to correct if I am wrong :confused3

Thank you for your responses! :earsboy: My DD are off school april 5 -17 They have perfect attendance this year, we told them if they did no t have alot of absences maybe we could pull them out of school. The heat of last June/July really got to me for the first time. I will show DH this thread.
