Crowds, April 25 to May 2

How crowded do you think the parks will be for this time period? Will most of the Easter/Spring Break folks be gone? How about Labor Day (May 1)?

Yes, the Spring Break and Easter break crowds will be gone. The parks will be very manageable.

May 1 is not Labor Day, or any kind of holiday.

Good question. We were thinking of going 4/20-4/26. Does anyone know when the Easter crowds start to pile out?

Easter crowds should be gone by the 23rd this year.

thanks. I wanted to take advantage of the late closing of magic kingdom that weekend. It seems that the crowds leave MG right after the fire works. That's when we like to make a run for Splash Mountain!!! So, I guess for a couple of days we can live with the crowd

How about the crowds May 1- May 6? I remember seeing a post somewhere about things getting busy because of grad parties. Is this true? If so-what kind of crowded--crazy or just some annoying groups or do you think they were referring to restaurants being crowded?

We were there that exact week last year (5/1) and I believe 5/5 was the "kick-off" for the "Happiest Celebration on Earth". There were a bunch of press events all week, some which closed each park early for the day, but it really didn't bother us.

Crowds were minimal at all the parks all week, even with some of them closing earlier. ADRs were easy to get too. I'm trying to plan a trip for that time this year as well. Weather was also good, not too hot, not too cold and not rainy at all.

The only grad events I knew of were the ones over the weekend which were at MK after regular hours. Didn't really notice anything out of the norm.
