We have booked to go to Orlando on Good Friday (18th April)
Just wondering if the crowds will be bad for the whole two weeks or just the weekend.
What weather can we expect in April?
Many thanks everyone

Lynda

I hate to disappoint you Rain, but I'm afraid the crowds will be bad for your entire visit. Schools over here stagger their Spring breaks, some hitting over Easter and others not. Granted, Easter Week will be the worst.

Weather should be good, but you never know. :D

..... Oh Steph it isn't that bad after Easter, especially when Easter falls late!

We have always gone March or April time - the weather is usually lovely with zero humidity. That said, we have encountered very varied temperatures and last year it got very hot in April ( and then cooled down in May which is unheard of!!)

Easter weekend will be really busy in the parks but we have spent Easter Saturday (daytime) at Downtown Disney and then gone to a resort for dinner ( GF or the Poly , timed to watch the Electric Water Pageant and the MK fireworks is our fave!)
I think your second week should be the best and the corwds should have gone then.

Have a wonderful time :)

The crowds are pretty large at Easter. That said, we have gone to Disney every Easter for the past 12 years so it hasn't stopped us. You just need to plan your trips to the parks. Go early, even at Easter the parks aren't bad when they first open. When the crowds get overwhelming go back to the hotel, swim, take a nap, enjoy a relaxing lunch. We then go back to the parks in the evening. One trick, try the bigger rides during the night parades. Definitely get fast passes.

There are benefits to going at Easter. The parks are open later, MK usually till midnight. The weather is great. Easter is late this year so it might be a little hotter, but Orlando in the summer is BRUTAL. We haven't had much rain(I shouldn't say that, it might tempt the gods.) In the summer you get an afternnon shower every day.
Enjoy Easter, we'll be there.
