Crowds and wait times?

Just trying to get an idea on what people think "crowded" is, How long would the lines for the major rides eg space, splash and tot have to be for the parks to be in your eyes crowded? :confused3

We were in the parks this last week - Monday and Wednesday at MK, Sunday at MGM. We did not visit TOT, so I can not comment on that wait time. I would suggest MK was crowded from late morning onward until evening. Standby wait time varied from 50 minutes up to 90 minutes at Splash Mountain and Space Mountain, it was 20 -25 minute wait in the fastpass line. The Stitch ride ( and Test Track at Epcot) was even worse - up to 2 hour standby line and over 30 minutes in the fastpass line.

Some rides had 5 -10 minute waits, but at MK most E-ticket rides had at least 45 minute wait after 10:30 or 11:00 am. I would consider that moderately to very crowded.

We were at MK and EPCOT on this past Tuesday and Wednesday and did not experience very long wait times. About 5 minutes for Space Mountain and only about 30 minutes in Standby for Stitch. We were very pleased with the lesser than usual Spring Break crowds due to an early Easter this year. :)

sounds like crowds are thining out after easter and spring brake! I can deal with lines of upto 45mins but fingers crossed they wont be that long for the last week of april!

Or the 2nd week of May! Last year, I thought MK was pretty crowded in the early afternoon. Just getting thru Fantasyland, it was "baby steps" all the way. Fast Pass for Thunder Mtn which we picked up around 5, was set for 10:30!

This weekend was the most crowded we've seen the parks since we started going in October. When we saw how many people were pouring into MK on Saturday, we held off until after 4pm before entering ourselves.

It was odd though. There were tons of people everywhere, but the ride lines were unbalanced. Stitch had a 65 min wait (?! Why?!), while Buzz was at 25 min. BTMR was at about 30-40 min, SM was around 45-60 min. Because the parade was at 9pm last night (park/fireworks at 10pm), people started getting seated around 7pm, which really cleared out the lines. By 9pm, just about everything in Fantasyland was a literal walk-on, something I've never seen with some rides like Snow White. Although Dumbo was still a 30 min wait (again, WHY?!). :confused3 :rotfl:

It might have been an unusual circumstance though---there were a lot of high school kids there this weekend due to dance team & band performances, it seems. So, it might be a bit calmer this week.
