Trying to finalize plans for trip 11/3 to 11/9. We were unable to book any of the resort rooms we wanted but that's another story. My concern is because resort rooms are so hard to get how crowded will the parks be? We have always travelled off season and someone told me this week should be similar to early June but we are getting concerned. Anyone have any info to share?

A couple of months back there was some talk about this week being busy. Apparantly this is "Jersey Week", and from what was told to me the schools in New Jersey are off this first week for teacher work days, and the election. I can't imagine the entire state of NJ heading on down to WDW, but if I lived there, I would..

I knew about Jersey week but in July I posted the questions about the crowds and several Jersey Week veterans said the parks were very managable. I have never had the trouble I have this trip in trying to make arrangements. I am trying to keep a positive attitude that everything will work out.:smooth:

Is the Jersey week something that happens every year? I am looking at a vacation next year the first week of November and want to make sure I book everything in advance.

Sometimes there is one "bad" night that can cause nothing to be available for your dates, usually a Saturday or maybe a Friday. This has happened to me a couple of times in low-season January, so we changed our reservation to sun-fri and had tons of availability. But we're lucky we were able to be flexible with dates, as many people can't.

But that week in November is "Jersey Week" but New Jersey is not a super huge state. Probably will be busy but hopefully not overwhelming. I am going for my very 1st Jersey week this year.

The New Jersey schools are always out for two days (Thursday and Friday) of every year during the 1st week of November, so it is a yearly thing - and a good thing for us Jerseyans, too! :)
