Crowds 1/10-1/15?

We just found out we are going to WDW on these dates. Could only come up with a room at CBR for two adults. We are planning to take our two grandsons with us. Why is it so busy? We are attending the National Home Builders Convention. Is this the problem? Any idea what the crowds will be like at the parks? We haven't been able to check on rooms with the convention headquarters as they were closed for Christmas. Maybe we'll get lucky and find more options with them. We did pick up Ding fares for $34 each way. Any ideas on crowds would be appreciated!! I don't remember how to get to the crowd estimate chart or where I found it.

It is also the dates leading up to MLK weekend, so that would affect it.

We have been to Disney on 2 different occasions during those times in January (in 2003 and 2004) and that is our FAVORITE time to go! The lines are short (no wait, or no longer than 10-15 minutes) and the crowds are scattered. (Although my sister was there in January 2005 and she reported that the lines were very long for that time of year 30-45/50 minutes) So I think it all depends on how many different conventions are there at that time. The January visits that we have made did have many activities going on (cheering compititions, Disney Marathon, etc) but the lines were still short. We are from Boston so the weather was perfect for us too. My fiance suprised me yesterday with a weekend trip to disney the end of January so I am hoping the lines will be short like I remembered! We're going this year for the Builder show and went last year too. At night, the volume in the parks was up, esp. EPCOT, during the day pretty normal. During the nights of the Builders show, I was sure to have ADR's, since the park restaurants in my opinion were pretty busy (or at least the ones we wanted to eat at were).

Thanks - maybe it won't be too bad during the day. Now if I can just get a room that will allow me to take my two grandsons. Right now we have a king room at CBR.
