Can any one give a recent crowd report. How are the lines? We're leaving on Sunday 31st and I'm interested in a report from someone who has just returned.

Thanks
Chris

I live 15 mins from WDW.and go once a week. This past week has been crowded. Its like most summers at WDW.The best thing I can tell you is to make the most of the fast pass.Go early in morning, then go back to pool around noon, because it's very hot. Then go back after dinner when temps are down.Parks are open late.

We just got back today, 7/24 and thought the parks were very crowded. Without fast pass, most major attractions were 45 minutes to over an hour wait. I think it is very important to get to the parks at opening time. This was the only time that we did not encounter long lines. I started another thread on my experience with the late EMH that you might want to read.

I was there July 14 to July 22. Magic Kingdom was extremly crowded in the afternoon into the night, but the mornings were managable. EPCOT, Studios & AK were crowded in the afternoons, but not nearly as bad as MK.

See the major attractions early, use fastpass and have a plan and you'll have a great time.

Just returned from spending 7/18,19,20,21@WDW. Crowds and heat were intense but anticipated,Get there early, use FP,take a break mid afternoon, return around 6pm. MK and EPCOT handle the crowds pretty well,MGM seemed very congested. My impression of my first trip to WDW was that Disney knows how to handle crowds.Best ride-Soarin,Worst-Stitch's Great Escape

Back tonight, OMG at the crowds! Tried to do EMH at MK, it NEVER cooled off. Crowds didn't seem to lighten up at 11PM either. We walked onto Space Mtn. at 10:45, stood in an aweful line for the Astro Orbiter at 11 (never again) and never did get to ride Splash. I heard from one man that it had been down earlier and they were allowing all people with expired FP's to return. Soarin is great, we rode it first thing Friday AM, got a fast pass for 11:15, rode then, then next FP was for 2:30. Walked onto Mission Space, waited 20 minutes for Test Track. Rockin' RC FP was within 1 hour, TOT was like 2 hours on Sat. AM, time for TOT said 1 hour, we were in in 20 minutes. Never did see Lights, Motors, the 1st show was called halfway through because of a rain, all people were told to come back to the 3:55 show. MK never did seem to lighten up, even after the rain. We managed to ride a few things Sat. evening, but our FP we picked up at 5PM was for 8PM. Even HM had a 45 minute wait  Never again in July!

Robin, I second that!! Just back last night, too!! Totally agree with your assessment :crazy2:

NEVER AGAIN IN JULY!!!! (Even though that's what I said last July!) But I mean it this time!!! LOL :rotfl2:

I have to disagree - we are just back today too. We found the crowds to be reasonable. The strategy we used was to go to the park the day after an EMH. The one day we went to Epcot in the morning of a pm EMH there it was terribly crowded so we left for MGM. TOT waits were 10-20 minutes, RnR Coaster 25-35. We were able to catch the new stunt show at MGM walking in 10 minutes before show time. Soarin was the longest wait we saw, and Splash and Space Mountain also had long waits as did Peter Pan and Pooh. We were at AK on Sunday July 17 and it was great - we walked onto Bugs Life, Triceratop Spin and Primevil Whirl. Lion King was not even full when we went. We did get a FP for Kali River Rapids.

Compared to the week before Easter the crowds seemed quite reasonable- we'll take July and the heat over the Easter crowds any time.

We did not do any EMH, got to the parks between 9 and 10 most days, and only used Fast Pass for the major waits.

One thing we found was that sometimes the wait time is actually less than what is posted. Splash Mtn had a wait time of 60 minutes and we were on the ride in 30 - Soarin however was pretty accurate.
