We are arriving in CA mid-morning on Sat, 1/5 and leaving late afternoon (flight doesn't leave till 8:30pm) on Thursday, 1/10.

I figured that everyone would be back in school by then, and DL wouldn't be crazy busy, but apparently Christmas break is late and it will still be super busy? Is that the general consensus? One of the sites I checked said that Sunday would be busy, but the rest of the week would be quiet. Another thing I read said that the whole week will probably still be busy. What do you guys think?

Also, how busy is busy on that Sunday, 1/6? I keep hearing horror stories about it taking an hour to walk through a land, etc. I really, really don't want to be there if it's *that* busy. Spring break busy, I can handle. New Year's Eve busy, I can't handle. So, is it really going to be crazy busy on 1/6, and if it is, do you think we would be better off waiting until 1/7 (Monday) to go to the parks and go Monday through Thursday, even though we would have to cut Thursday a little short because we fly out that day? Or am I just being paranoid, and it will be managably busy on Sunday?

We will be there right before you (last park day is the 5th and we drive home on the 6th) so we will just miss each other. I dont think you have to worry about it too much. It will be crowded as that is the last day before school starts back up for most schools I believe (I know thats the case in the Sacramento area) but I dont think its going to be insane. Just make sure you have a good plan and try and hit the must do rides early before it really gets crowded and do a show or two, or Tom Sawyer Island in the afternoon when its crowded.

I think it will be busy but not insane. We have been to Disneyland at that same time frame the last couple of years. Sun-Thurs. Our district gets three weeks off for Christmas so we like to go that last week. Last year I was expecting Sunday to be crazy with people trying to soak up the last day of the holiday season but they must've been on their way home already because the parks were surprisingly manageable. Maybe less busy than the next few days. So there's just no way to know. With Carsland I'm expecting more crowds this year but hoping for the best.
