Crowd Outlook

Easter breaks vary so much throughout the states so I usually avoid 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after Easter.
This is what we have tried to do. Ideally we'd of flown out 13/14th but it was so much cheaper to fly out on the 10th. We won't enter a park until 11th. And 14th I'd like to think many Easter stragglers will be heading home. So may just be a few early days with the genie plus pass. We even did genie passes in October.

I read in a blog that both Osceola and Orange County, Florida are scheduled to have their Spring Breaks in March. Those districts have the biggest impact on Walt Disney World attendance, so crowds should moderate a bit in late March and early April 2024. So that fills me with hope.

End of the day. We had a certain timeframe to go in and we will make the most of it anyway. I just have a bit of OCD so like to spend ages researching queues and busy times. But what will be will be. It'll be fun no matter what. Will just do the usual tricks and do the busier parks on weekdays and save weekends for pool days and water parks

Thank you. We know Disney will always be busy really. We went early October and even then. It was 70 mins for the mine train. Avatar was 80. Big queues for the main rides. And 20/30 for smaller stuff. Even Peter Pan was well over an hour at times. Universal seemed much less busy than Disney. I guess that's normal though? Disney as a whole. Is just more popular maybe? It was my first time in Orlando since I was 5. So maybe I'm just wrong on that. But seemed that way. Weekends obviously all just busy. Especially Saturdays. Sunday seemed less so.
Those are pretty WDW normal standby waits year-round. G+ = standby waits are longer. Thsoe who use a G+ pass wait less, but G+ costs $.

We queued for MIB with genie plus. And we got the front. And I kid you not. They let about 2 people a time from our queue. And then just kept letting in people from the main queue over and over and over again. I know they need to let more in naturally as it's a bigger queue. But we stood there for ages. We ended up there for 40 minutes when it said 10. And the main queue was 20.

You don't always wait less!

MIB?

Makes sense. I know locals and even some out of state visitors that contribute and choose a "party" at MK or HHN at US, instead of a full day or multi day or even AP.

Usually seasoned veterans that just want a fun dose of rides, and then a great party.

They may have a week or less at WDW, but go to US for HHN. Or a week or less at US, then MK for the party.

All of Florida has spring breaks in March.

January, February, March and April all have lots of spring breaks, holidays, marathons, festivals and snow birds galore.

This is peak season in Florida

Men In Black? Only thing I come up with.
Yeah brain fart from me! Men in black. So ignore me. Genie plus is fine. It's the universal fast passes that annoyed me that one time. Especially for 140 dollars I think it was.

I actually really rate the virtual systems Disney have as well. Got us on guradians three days in a week. No issues. Looking forward to using it for Tron. It looks amazing!

The one regional holiday that definitely makes the parks feel busier is "Jersey week" in early November where it literally feels like the entire state of New Jersey makes the pilgrimage to Florida. I went around that time as a kid (am from NJ) and it wasn't uncommon to see your classmates and teachers. My mom saw her boss once on line for Tomorrowland Speedway.

There are also other events going on around that time to where Jersey Week is a never again for me lol
That's so funny!

Back around 2011 early November was a GREAT week to go. We went back in 2018 thinking it would be the same awesome crowd experience. Nope lol. (VA schools don't have off that full week but many of us head to FL since we have 2 to 2.5 days off that week and just pull kids out of school - not worth pulling them out anymore for WDW though with Jersey Week)

The biggest crowd week for us has always been President's Day week though. Never again!
Well, I guess I wouldn't completely say never, haha. If I had a great deal on flights or something, I might.

Interesting...but I thought attendance was cratering???? 🙃

Yeah but 1 is halloween night which is always gone early, the other 4 are all early august ones that are coming out so that makes sense. Last year every single halloween party was sold out in the end.

Yeah, was just more of a there’s not really that much of a difference for the fall this year vs last year in terms of how the parties are selling.

Last years parties were fully sold out by mid-September.

Just got a new offer on WDW tickets from UT: get an adult ticket for the price of a child's ticket. Offer good through 8/8, but tickets are valid for travel through December 2024.

The ad says $50 off a 3-day base ticket, $83 off a 5-day hopper, up to $100 off on some tickets.

OT, but just curious, with the transition to "X" does Twitter now not let people see tweets without being logged in?
(I haven't used it in a couple of years now and long have been logged out so was just wondering)
To add to what Brian said, non-subscribers not being able to view tweets started a month or so ago, well before the "X" transition. If you click on the date in Scott's tweet you can view it but not the responses. If you click on his name, you can see a random selection of tweets from the past few years. IOW, it's all bolloxed up.
