we're planning our trip for the last week of august and first week of september and i was just wondering what the crowd levels are like then?

This is the time we tend to go and we find that the crowds are very manageable. The US schools tend to go back mid August and there are usually less UK families with school starting early September.

Free dining during this time will have an impact on crowd levels but we went in 2007 at this time and didn't find the crowds a problem (and that was with a toddler).

we went last year on 28th aug and were married in disney on sept 2nd. we had no problems what so ever. the queues were great apart from the new toy story ride in hs as this had only been open a few months.

We are going back this year on 27th aug for 15 nights with the free dining.

The weather is hot but we didnt find it a problem

My sister was there that time last year - her photos show near empty parks:thumbsup2 .
We are there from 29 August this year at POR with free dining:cheer2: .
I think the dining situation may be a little better as they have introduced the QS plan alongside the standard one, so many more places to choose from.
Of course it's a gamble with weather but still, we've paid £1500 for a week's stay including ultimate tickets - you couldn't go anywhere in Europe for that price nowadays! I still chuckle to myself when I realise what a fab deal we have.

We usually go September and have found it busier but manageble with the free DDP but this year we go 28 August so DS only misses 4 days of school

that sounds great! we wanted to go to seaworld and universal as well so it looks like we shouldn't have any problems gettin round the disney parks as well.

we did universal and islands of adventure on a saturday (6th sep) last year and we managed universal studios in the morning with no problems, had lunch at hard rock and then islands of adventure in the afternoon. A bit busier but did everything we wanted with no problems

We didnt do seaworld last year but will do it again this year when we go

ooooo lunch at the hard rock...i'm definitely going to have to do that and add to my souvenier collection lol! i'm glad its not too busy i'm not a big fan of queuing for ages :rotfl:

Its very quiet like others said our only queue problem was for Toy Story Mania as this was new opening. On our last day we rode Splash about 6 times and Thunder 5 times as well as doing every other ride in the park and even spent an hour over at Tom Sawyers Island loved it. We was there 25th August to 8th September. Labour day weekend crowds were a bit bigger but still nothing compared to other months.
