For those of you who go every year around the same time, how did the crowds this year compare with last year?

We just returned, our trip was May 31 to June 10. The parks seemed much busier, but still very enjoyable. Be sure to make dining ressies for any in-park table service restaurants you want to enjoy. Queues weren't too bad, except for Kali River rapids, we waited in line for 45 minutes, even though the sign said a 20 minute wait. When the line stopped moving, and we weren't getting any closer to the boarding area, we gave up on it and left. Be sure to use Fastpass for the busier attractions.

OH my lord, we went a few times in the last year and I DEFINITELY noticed that the crowds were MUCH more unbearable than I have ever experienced before. And we were there during supposed value seasons, when we would assume the parks to be empty.
We were there one random Monday last October and it was 95 degrees and the MK was a mob scene! My DTwin and I deliberately booked a trip at a time when nothing was going on and we were advised by the reservations desk that this was not a busy time for them.
When we got to the park that Monday we thought it was too strange and decided we had to ask a castmember what was going on! Well, she was just as shocked as we were! She said she had NO IDEAwhat was going on and then she confirmed what we suspected by telling us that they had a record breaking crowd that day for that year! That was, to date, THE most crowded day they had had that year! And for no apparent reason!
So, we definitely noticed.

That's what I was afraid of. It seems like a ton of Disers are headed to the world for free dining in August. I'm going to be there from Aug 13-22 and I'm afraid it will be packed.
