Crowd Calendars

I have been to WDW 3 times, always in Sept.

This year I am going in May. I know the crowds will be heavier.

I have never followed a crowd calendar before or even looked at one (as Sept has low crowds), but when I looked at EasyWDW's crowd calendar for May, almost all of my parks are not recommended. http://www.easywdw.com/category/calendar/05-may-2013-crowd-calendar/

Here is my plan (in red are not recommended):

Sat May 4th - MK
Sun May 5th - AK/DTD
Mon May 6th - HS
Tues May 7th - Epcot
Wed May 8th - AK/HS
Thurs May 9th - Epcot
Fri May 10th - MK

I switched my last two days otherwise there would be only one day that I would go to a recommended park.

How accurate are these calendars? I am travelling solo, so I can use the single rider lines on some of the headliners, but should I change my plan? I do have to ADR's booked, one on the 4th and one on the 5th, but they could be changed.

Any suggestions? Thanks

According to EasyWDW my schedule should look something like this:

Sat May 4th Epcot
Sun May 5th AK/DTD
Mon May 6th Epcot
Tues May 7th MK
Wed May 8th MK
Thur May 9th HS
Fri May 10th AK/HS

I have never done the same park two days in a row...I have at DL though.

I would have to change both of my ADR's. I would lose one or have to eat lunch at 3pm, but I would be able to reschedule the other one.

Should I change my plan? Or leave it as is?

I'm going the exact time as you. I, too, looked at EasyWDW. On some days I followed his most recommended, on other days I went with the next recommended. I just worked around our preferences and what I thought we would want to do. Now, we will be doing both waterparks so that did play into it.

May 4th: MK. I know that one is not recommended, but I can't go to Disney and have MK NOT be my first trip, especially for my DD's first trip.

May 5th: HS

May 6th: Typhoon Lagoon and rest for the evening.

May 7th: MK

May 8th: Epcot

May 9th: AK

May 10th: Blizzard Beach. End with a dinner at Crystal Palace and Wishes.

The only day I'm doing a "not recommended" park is 5/4. But the crowd levels seem to be pretty low and with utilization of rope drop and fp, I think we'll be okay. We'll be taking this trip at the girls' pace, anyway.

Have fun! Only 2.5 more weeks!!

Relative to most weekdays, the parks OP has picked in red may not be recommended. Some other times of year I might change the schedule around a little. However, that really should not be a very crowded week compared to spring break, summer, major holidays, etc. I wouldn't change a thing if that's what OP really wants to do.

BTW, most everything I have read says which day you choose is less important than what time you get there and whether or not you have a plan...I've used a plan (loosely) in the past and have found it was far more enjoyable for the kids
