Crowd Calendars...I'm driving myself crazy!

Every crowd calendar I look at is different. One says a particular park will have average crowds, the next says the same park on the same day will have above average crowds!

Is there one that's more reliable than another? How else do people pick what day they visit each park?

So we cross referenced 2 crowd calendars for our October trip, EasyWDW and TouringPlans. We picked the best or 2nd best parks...didn't have any issues at all.

It's all a guess anyway, I wouldn't worry yourself as long as you aren't going to a park that is NOT recommended (and we ended up doing that too due to a change in schedule, it ended up being 100% just fine, we got everything we wanted done...early no less!)

welcome to the DisBoards. As you become more acquainted with the site you will learn that this is the age old question that never really has an answer because there is no real way to know who is better.

If I go to predictor "A' park of the day and it is really crowded unless I leave how will I know if the other guy got it right? And if the same site tells you to avoid a park and you do, how do you know if that was the right move?

These folks that do this rely on historical data, some very helpful insight and some very logical decision making but there are many variables that you can't possibly factor in to be totally accurate like the weather.

Want to see some low crowds? Let it get down to a daytime high of 48 degrees and you can pretty much walk on to everything (Especially the water rides). There is no way anybody can predict that 6 months in advance.

Disney trips are supposed to be fun. Don't drive yourself crazy with a bunch of little things. Even a poorly planned and executed Disney trip is still pretty good.

I've found touringplans.com to be fairly accurate. They've been collecting data for quite awhile, and they'll even post what they predicted the crowd level to be and then post the actual crowd level, so you can see how close their prediction was, etc.
