I also posted this in the transportation thread, but thought I might get some good advice here as well!

Hello!

We may be returning to Disney soon with our infant daughter. DH and I had a fantastic honeymoon there, but we had to cancel our 1st anniversary trip when we found out I was expecting. Now that we're planning a trip with the wee one it's a whole new ball of wax. I've read through the archives, but still have a couple of questions.

What are the options for getting from the airport to the hotels (on-site) for those with carseats? Is renting a car our best bet? Will car services (we took Tiffany TownCar for our honeymoon) allow you to install your carseat? Also, what do people do on shuttle vans and buses? Do they just forego the carseat b/c it's a larger vehicle, or does no one with a baby take a bus/shuttle type vehicle?

Thanks for any and all tips. I've also been researching the best resort and reading all the old Disney for Families threads.

We just went down Dec. 4-11 with our 4 yr old and 2 yr old (2 yr old was still in her carseat). We used her carseat on the plane (she thankfully napped in it all the way down and all the way back!!! :Pinkbounc ) Once in Orlando, we did use Tiffany Town Car, and I installed my DD's carseat-the driver had a booster seat for my 4 yr old DD. We stayed on property, so we used the Disney bus/ferry transportation the whole time-you don't need a carseat on the buses in Disney. GL! Have fun!

Thanks so much! :D I suspected that Tiffany would do that, since I remember the driver on our honeymoon talking about a child that had ridden with her. DD will also be in her seat for the plane, so that should work well. I only hope that the plane has the same tranquilizing effect that her stroller and the car do. :wizard:

as the other poster has said, you can use your carseat in the town car, and you don't need a carseat on the bus, although I have to admit to being a little uneasy about that (But we still do it)
