One of my poor kitties crossed over that Rainbow Bridge last night :sad1:. She was about 16 to 18 years old, as estimated by our vet. When we adopted her from the shelter 6 years ago, they said she was 2 or 3, however after a thorough exam, our vet determined she was much older (approx 10 to 12). She will be missed :littleangel: but she will be with our other babies who have gone on before her.

I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet kitty :guilty:

I'm so sorry. It's sad that you didn't have more time with her but I know that she lived a wonderful life with you.

You have my sympathies on the loss of your furbaby, Suzanne. I know how you feel, having lost one of my kitties a month ago..and now my 14 year old cat is all of a sudden showing signs of aging very rapidly (guess the other one kept her young!). Console yourself with happy memories, and know that you gave her a much better home than she would have had without you!

I'm sorry for your loss. You gave her a good home!

Thank you, she had been showing her age. She was never sick though, she was fine yesterday morning (she was mad because I had to keep her confined because she would go to sleep and fall off the furniture and I was afraid she would break a bone), I think she just laid down and went to sleep forever, much easier than having to deal with the alternative, which I have had to do 3 times in the last year.

I still have 4 more cats, a dog, and a rabbit to love on.

Suzzane, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your furbaby. You gave her a good home and her passing sounded very peaceful.

Very sorry to hear this, Suzanne. For sure, she is there at the rainbow.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
