Cross Use Year Reservation Question

I believe I read in another thread that I cannot use the online system to book a trip that spans 2 Use Years, correct?
In addition, I have enough points in my current use year for the entire trip. Do I have to bank the number of points needed for the nights that fall into the next use year part of the trip prior to making the reservation?

The online system won't allow you to reserve in one reservation days that fall in two different use years. You either have to call MS to make the reservation or make two seaparate reservations online, one for the nights in the first use year and the other for the nightsd in the second use year and then call MS to have it lnk the reservations.

If the reservation you want to make is in your current use year and your next use year, you will need to bank into the next use year any points from your current use year that you intend to use to reve any nights in that next use year.Example: June use year and you want trip for May 27 to June 4, 2014. Your current use year (June 2013) points can be used to reserve June 1, 2014 or after only if you were to bank them by Januray 31, 2014.
