DFi and I are going to the wonderful WDW i June for out honeymoon. I've heard people really like crocs sandals, and I was wondering if I could get a few more opinions. I tried them on at the mall yesterday, and they seemed pretty comfy (DFi REALLY liked the ones he tried on). I'm just curious how they would be to wear all day when it's hot and possibly rainy outside at the parks. Do they tend to cause blisters and get sweaty, or do they do pretty well? Also, do they take a while to break in? I'm really interested in getting us each a pair, I just want to make sure it's worth our money (as we will be low on $ after just graduating from college!).

Thanks, guys!

You should find many threads using the search feature at the top of the page here. I haven't seen one in a while, but in the archives you will find pages.

They take no time to break in, and they are very comfy, BUT... I find that they get sweaty on really warm days. I am bringing mine, and will try them out, but I don't know if I will end up wearing them too much. The last time I wore them at home when it was hot, I got a hot spot on the end of my toe from the "sweaty feet" factor. If I had worn them to walk around all day at Disney, and they had gotten sweaty, I'd end up a blistered mess.

BTW, they are great with socks on, but EXTREMELY dorky looking :rotfl: !

My feet get cold easily so wearing them with socks they are the most comfortable shoes in the world, but without socks no way I get a like a gazzillion blistors.

Here's the link to the thread about CROCS....

I love my Beach style CROCS...had a pair of the Niles, but just didn't like them as well...I have a wide foot so the Beach just fit me better, so I gave the Niles to my oldest sister who loves them...can't get over how comfy the are. I need to get a second pair since I've noticed the soles are getting a bit worn and I've heard that is when people start to notice some slipping.

Also, the CROCS website has some great info...and newer selections.

Hope this helps!

I alternated mine with sneakers/socks when I went in July and had not problems, and I usually blister even with broken-in shoes. They were great for the Kali River Rapids as I did not need to worry about wet sneakers.

I ordered a pair for myself and DD in the cayman style and got them a couple of weeks ago. one thing that I did not like about them is that they have little bumps all along the inside bottom part of the shoe where your foot rests. I'm trying to break them in, but honestly, they feel the same as when I got them. I doubt if I could wear them all day without socks because of the little bumps. I'm not counting on wearing them at WDW unless I see others wearing theirs with socks :rotfl: because they are ugly as sin but if others do, then maybe I will. usually the bottom of a shoe never gives me a problem and I go barefoot even outside so my feet are not overly sensitive by any means. to me, walking in my crocs without socks is like walking on a pine cone. :cat:

I have been wearing my Crocs since April and have not taken them off. They are without a doubt the most comfortable thing I have ever put on my feet. I purchased another pair today, because my original ones are becoming a little worn. I have never had a single problem with them, no sweaty feet, no hot spots, and no blisters - nothing. Awesome, awesome, awesome shoe. Worth every penny!

I wore mine in June and while my feet didn't hurt, I did get a blister on the top of my foot which was very painful.

Good luck!

I have to join the Crocs love-fest! I was very skeptical, I have foot/ankle problems and usually have to bring several pairs of shoes with me to WDW. I always have to switch off every day, as my ankle swells and I get blisters on my little toes while walking. I read all the posts about Crocs and finally went to try some on. They were definitely comfortable, but would I be able to wear them in WDW?

I tried them out, walking in the park near my home just days after I purchased them. I wasn't thrilled, as the shoes are a little big*the website suggested getting them slightly loose* and they rubbed the top of my foot. But, if I wore them around town and at home, they were sooo comfy, I decided to bring them to wear at the resort, etc.

When we got to WDW, I accidentally left all my other shoes in the bags when they were checked with bell services. Ended up walking all afternoon in the Crocs and didn't even notice. In fact, the Crocs were the only pair of shoes I wore for our whole 9-day vacation, and didn't have a single problem with my feet!*ankles still swollen, but that was expected - I have pins/plate/screws* I tried switching to another pair of shoes one day, and they weren't nearly as comfortable, so I went back to the Crocs. I think the problem on my first walk was that I was wearing socks, and they were making my feet slide in the shoe, causing the rubbing on the top of my feet. When I wear them without socks, the rubbery material grabs my foot and it stays in place. I also had no problem with the tips of my big toes getting sore from sliding into the toe of my shoe like sometimes happens with my tennis shoes, as the Crocs are so cushion-y.

I did notice that when I wore them in the rain, I had to periodically stop to wipe water out of them. The holes that conveniently allow them to dry quickly also allow water into the shoe! This caused an annoying, squish-y feeling, but I'd just stop and wipe them out and it was fine.

I am definitely a Crocs convert! Love, love, love the Crocs!

p.s. I've got the Beach Crocs.
