Crocs Sandals/Flipflops

My Crocs Capris came in yesterday. They are amazing! I can't believe how cushy they feel! I love that the strap is sueded on the side next to your foot. It makes them super comfy. I'm so glad I listened to everyone here and got them.

Another "I'll never wear those ugly things" and "I am NOT paying $40 for flip flops" converted to a fan. :lovestruc

How about the Adara style? They have straps that criss cross in the front? Anyone like those in the parks? I 'm leaning toward them....

I am wearing the adaras now(regular, not sport). they look very nice, but I find my feet tend to slide forward in them (not in any other style). I am going to try a minute or 2 in the dryer to tighten the straps.

I have worn the regular crocs for years now (I'm a rebel and don't really care how wierd they look on me Hee hee) and love how they feel but don't want to wear them in Disney cause they can get hot. So many people are recommending the flip flops but I just can tell much difference in the athens, baja's and the capri's. Has anyone tried on all 3 that could shed some light on which is the best? :confused3

The main difference is that the Athens and Baja have a "rubber" thong and the Capri is sueded fabric (next to your skin). I found the Athens and Baja to sit to high on my feet - the straps were a good 1/2 or more above the top of my foot - and that made them a bit uncomfortable to me. The Capri fits my foot better - no huge gap between the straps and my feet.

HTH.:)

Personally speaking, I prefer the Athens because the thong between the toes is plastic. I found the cloth on the capris too thick for my little feet. :rotfl: (I have to wear children's size shoes!) My DD14, however, prefers the capris BECAUSE of the fabric between the toes. I think you have to try them both on to make the decision for yourself. ;)

Let me know if that works.....I have a pair of Cleos and am having the same problem!

I too had resited Crocs fro a long time and after reading the message boards here I decieded to give them a try. I am test driving my celeste canvas crocs today and so far I love them. I always thought that my feet would sweat too much but not bad so far.

I have been wearing the off brand croc's . just went and buy some real croc's, oh my god !!!!!!!!!! I am a believer and never will i stray again. I am definately wearing them to disney.

Ive just bought a pair of mary janes - wow that fushia is bright!! Im intending to wear them around the home a bit to get used to them but im finding they really feel strange around my toenails. They are the same size i wear in a normal shoe and are loose all round. I dont want to wear socks with them - gonna look strange enough in my shorts as it is!! Will this feeling go away?

I have the same problem with the mary janes.

The heels on the capri's seem to have more cusion too!

Oh! I have some margaritaville flip flops with cloth in between and they are really great. They would not be good to get wet though so I am probably going to pick me up some crocs. Hopefully the stores will have both but it sounds like I would like the capri's best. I am still looking into keens though. They would stay on your feet better like at the waterparks.

Has anyone tried Gekko's? I found some at Liquidation World for $2.99 in adult sizes. I have not tried Croc's so I can't compare.

I have only tried the Nothingzs and they seem to be as comfortable as crocs but I imagine there are some out there that don't compare. :goodvibes

I have arthritis and tarsal tunnel - Crocs have saved my life. I wear Beach. No other shoe gives me the comfort these do.

Ok, This weekend I tried on crocs flip flops and found them to seem a little slippery. How would they be if they got wet?
I did see some flip flops made to get wet but they didn't have the support that crocs have. I also tried on some tevas that were cool but didn't seem as comfy as crocs. Does anyone ever just wear regular original style crocs to the parks? Yesterday I wore my regular flip flops everywhere and by the end of they day my feet hurt and were so tired. I have to either wear my original crocs or get something before my trip.

I found the "original crocs" very HOT in June last year. I switched to my Athens Crocs flip flops and was very happy. This June that is ALL I wore. (except for a short time my Crocs slides, but they didn't feel as supportive and the straps started to rub)

I just seen where they make mickey athens. Cool!
Does the capri's have just as much support as orig. crocs? I think the capri's might be better than the athens cause they "hug" your foot a little better. My feet hurt easily if I walk a lot. Sneakers, Tevas sandles, flat flip flops or whatever they hurt in. I know my crocs are good but can't tell if the soles on the capri's are thick enough to still have the shock absorption to them.
I am also still thinking about the tevas Karnali Wraptors.

I just got my capri's last week (my first crocs!) and LOVE them! I wore them this weekend to start breaking them in and they are like walking on air. Nice support and very comfy. I'm hoping to give them a good touring test run in the next couple weeks with a day trip somewhere, but I think they're going to be great for Disney.

Thanks for the feed back on them. I like the Tevas but I like wearing flip flops more. Maybe this weekend I can find some capris.

:cool1: :surfweb:

Hands down, Havianas are my favorite flip flop of all time. They're long lasting and comfortable. But they've no arch support. I wore them to DLR before and was fine, except when I tripped and fell (I was making a mad dash for the popcorn cart).

So, since crocs is now making better looking shoes, I decided to try them out.

I love them! They're so squishy! I'm breaking them in now for our September trip. I swore them off a long time ago. But these boards man...
