Crocs question

Ugh...I hate to even be saying that I am half-way considering looking at getting some of these shoes because while most people swear by them I think they are some of the ugliest things around (no offense to those that own them ). I just read the "Crocs at Disney - I'm a new believer" thread on here and that is the only reason I'm considering it, well that and I tried my neighbor's Crocs on and they were pretty comfy, but I do have some questions.

I normally wear Nike Air Jordan's at the parks and have always sworn by them because my feet normally won't start hurting until day three and then late at night. I wore some slip on sandals during our last trip for about four hours and my feet were killing me by the time we got back to the room. I love the airy cushion that my Jordan's have and even though when I tried on some Crocs they were surprisingly comfy I'm wondering if they'd be comfortable enough for all day. As far as I'm concerned the only downside to the Jordan's is not being able to take them off for Soarin' and having really hot feet by evening.

My main concern is not having enough support (I have flat feet) to survive walking around the parks all day.

Any and all Croc insight will be appreciated! I'm afraid that I'll be going to the Croc dark side soon.

I don't have Crocs but I've heard that they are very comfortable. Sorry if this doesn't help much...Thats all I know.

As I sit here, right now, I'm wishing that Crocs were allowed at Cub Scout daycamp because my feet are killing me and I know that with any of my 5 different styles of crocs, I'd be feeling much better right now. Too bad they have holes for the ticks to crawl through!

Just got the flip flops, they are ok. I still prefer my Merrell flip flops. I am taking both to WDW, crocs for the water rides, Merrells the rest of the time.

I just returned from 9 days at WDW. I brought my trusty sneakers, Birkis, and a pair of crocs. I wore the crocs everyday. No blisters or sore feet. I felt I could walk forever. LOVE THEM!!!

I tried Crocs, and while the cushion felt nice, I didn't feel like they had enough arch support.

I just got a pair of Nevados sandals, I wore them to Disneyland yesterday, and my feet were so happy! (And I got them at Costco for only $25)

I'm with you - my kids have two pair and love them, and they're pretty cute on them, but I think they are so ugly on me - BUT, I tried them anyway - we went last week - I wore them Monday - Friday - doing parks everyday - my feet never hurt! It was unbelievable - I always wear my Nike's, but in these things my feet never got tired, no blisters, stayed cool - definitely give them a try - now that I'm they'll probably stay in my closet, but they'll definitely come out the next time I know I'll be on my feet a lot!

I actually have a generic pair of crocs that I bought last year at Payless and they are wonderful. I wear them waitressing every week and no more sore feet at the end of the night. I then bought the flip flops and took them with me on a cruise in May and they were fantastic. I am going to buy a pair of real crocs before we leave in August, but I think I am going to get the flip flop style. I will take them and my generic pair of croc flip flops and I'll see if the extra 20 bucks for the real ones are worth it.

I have problems with my arches in tennis shoes but in crocs they are just fine. I love them!!!!!!

O.k to start I have to say I have 3 pairs of crocs. I pair of the regular cayman/beach type that I only wear in the house as slippers and to the pool when I swim in the mornings. The other 2 are the Nile. I also feel the crocs are very comfy but the cayman/beach are very sloppy and I couldn't walk all day in them. I have flat feet and have plantar faciitis in one heel. They are great for my sore heel in the morings and the only way I can get going but too sloppy for all day wear. I love the Nile they have more support, not as cushiony on bottom but tighter fit. They only thing is you have to break these ones in as you get a small blister usually around the top of your foot from the tight rubbing. It goes away but I also couldn't wear these for all day walking.
I have to have my Nike for Disney. No tan on your feet and they are hotter but definitely the way to go.
Also I have noticed that I always get athlete's foot in my baby toes from wearing my cayman/beach type in the summer....my feet sweat in them.
Just my opinion but that's my experience anyhow.

I have the Payless Airwalks and Crocs, I find my Airwalks more comfortable. I knew they were comfortable for walking but I was nervous about how they would be on my feet/legs/back standing. I loved them and even though I packed different shoes, I never wore anything but my Airwalks.

I haven't tried Crocs at the parks...but I did break down and get a pair for work (nurse in a hospital...so I'm up on my feet walking ALOT). I swore by birks as my work shoes...but when it was time to purchase a new pair I decided for the $...I'd give them a try. NOW I'm a Croc lover. ....and am seriously considering getting a second pair just for our WDW vacation comming up.

If you think there ugly then try the maryjane crocs,there very cute & comfy.Also my sister has to have support on her feet so if you go to the online store you can buy the ones with the support!!!!

I have the Cleo style Crocs. It's a strappy sandal. I wore them on our recent Disney trip and they were fabulous. No tired sore feet. My kids have the traditional clog style, which they love, but I couldn't bring myself to wear them. People compliment me on the shoes all the time and are always surprised when I tell them they're Crocs.

But really. I bought my first and only pair this past April. I am 100LBS over weight and have surgery on one foot and a spur in the other. I honestly have not worn another pair of shoes since I bought these. Except for a wedding and a funeral, Lime Green just not appropriate.

The first week they do take some getting use to but it's like they conform to whatever gait you have. They even feel equally comfy with socks.

I have bought them for everyone in my family, mother included. Not my husband though. He wears docksiders with no socks. EEEEWWWWWWW!!!

I tryed this style on and really liked it. BUT I wasn't sure how the strap would do at the world. I worried about it causing blisters. You didn't have any issues with them?

I did just break down and purchased a new pair of the Capri flip flops. My mom has the older croc flip flop style and LOVES them...but I didn't care for the larger toe piece nor how they looked so blown up on my feet. So far I'm really liking my Capri crocs. Now to only decide...do I want to get a pair of the beach or Cayman and/or the Cleo's as well

So do I. When i walk for an hour or two in normal shoes my knees start to hurt but so far they havent in my crocs. I havent been to disney in them yet but have been walking around at home and went out for a walk with them on the other night with no sore knees.

Yes they are not the most attractive shoes but beleive me more and more people are wearing them. Here in scotland a crocs shop has just opened and already ive seen people here wearing them out and about. also, it seems flocks of people wear them at disney as disney now sell them in their parks. you wont stand out by wearing them so i wouldnt worry how they look if you find them comfy.

I used to wear Nike walking shoes on our trips to the World, but for the last 7 or 8 years I have only worn Birks. That said, I did buy a pair of the white Disney Crocs with pink strap. I love those MM heads! I have only worn them around the house and they do feel comfortable, so I will definitely give them a try in the parks next week.

I have flat feet and lower back problems..I bought one pair of crocs and tried them at disney world...I now own 4 pairs...the only shoes EVER to let me do the parks and NOT have foot aches and back aches. We went to Key Largo recently and I purchased a pair of the flip-flop style crocs...I use those for my daily 1 - 2 mile walk around my neighborhood....no aches!!

I didn't have any problems at all with the straps rubbing and causing blisters, even with wearing them for 10 hours a day around the World. It must have to do with the Crocs material. They're terrific.
