Is this true? I've never worn them and I'm looking for the most comfortable type of shoe to wear around epcot for a lot of walking all day in the summer sun. I definitely want to be comfortable but cute too! Any thoughts? :cheer2:

Which style? Clogs, sandals, flip flops? Out of those I like the flip flops best. They are comfortable, but I have worn more comfortable shoes in the parks. I don't care for the clogs due to the unactractiveness factor :)

I'm gonna have to agree about the clogs looking pretty unattractive lol :P I heard the crocs athens were pretty good

Trust me on this one wear running shoes from a speciality store, broken in.

Wear cute cloths and comfortable shoes.

The only time I have worn pretty shoes at disney was when we took a cab from resort to fancy dinner. Very little walking but they sure where sexy shoes.

Yeah I think that's good advice! I might just truck through my hair being down, though lol

Skechers has a new line of sneakers that have memory foam insoles. Last time I went to WDW I took what I considered my MOST comfortable shoes...a pair of converse and a pair of Sperrys. Well, they were NOT comfortable. Now that I am going back I bought a pair of these...

I got the black & pink pair. Wore them the other day to work to break them in...did NOT need to. They are SOOOOOO comfortable!

OMG I love the hot pink/black ones! Nice! Thanks for sharing those

Dh, dd and ds all wore crocs and never complained- but when dh wore his athletic shoes at ak he quickly changed back to his crocs when we got back to our room- and wore them the rest of the trip! i wore the teva mush 2 flip flops and loved them!

How are crocs vs the tevas? I've seen some debate but not sure which would be more comfy

I've worn Crocs Kaydees flats all over DLR and they were great so I'm bringing them to WDW. I also picked up a pair of Sketchers Go Walks which are also very comfortable. And I'm bringing one pair of tennis shoes that are especially comfortable. I'd never wear the Crocs clogs. Ugh! Before I found the Crocs flats I always wore tennis shoes. Some are good but some can be bad. I've had some that just ended up feelings so hard and flat after a little while.

I'm still on the hunt. I bought a pair of GoWalks last week and have been wearing them to walk the dog and run errands, but I feel like they won't be comfortable enough for Disney. They're just way too wide and my feet seem to shift around a lot. Plus they're not as breathable as I thought they would be. :( I'm leaning toward TOMS as my "go to" shoes (I live in TOMS and flip flops all summer), but I'm worried my feet will hurt by the end of the day.

I tend to take several pairs of comfy shoes. I own some of the clog type crocs and the flip flops. I try not to wear the clogs too often because they aren't cute but so comfy. Sometimes wear them at the end of a long day. The flip flops are also comfortable. Sperry topsiders flip flops are another favorite of mine. Tennis shoes make me miserable in Disney and I have really good ones as I am a runner. You just have to try several things and see what is comfortable for you during a typical long day on your feet. Happy shoe shopping!!! :)

Ive tried wearing the crog clogs several times. I cant get through half a day cause I trip in them?? Has anyone else have this problem with wearing them?
curious

I do the same. Wear my sneakers to the parks and my Croc Clogs everywhere else. They are large, comfortable and airy on my swollen tired feet. Great for wearing to the pool and the water parks. The bottom of Crocs Clogs has a way of messaging my feet that I appreciate after I've done a lot of walking, day of or day after.

I like the foot circulation/massage nub looks but never tried them! I'm excited to hopefully try some on soon, though! Do any of the crocs have a good enough grip to go hiking, though?

I walk (more of a slow jog) through the parks for long stretches. Wife is trying to get me to slow down and not feel like I need to do every inch of the park in one day, but it's not working. So, footwear is a big deal.

I wear Birkenstocks Milanos, and literally have had no foot problems or soreness in the parks. I just wouldn't wear anything that can rub anywhere! Flip flops have given her trouble with blisters between toes. She'll also say sketcher go walks were pretty good.

Personally, I've had a heel spur in both feet, plantar fasciitis in both feet, and patella tendinitis in one knee (running injury, not disney injury). What ever you use, wear them around the house for a bit when they're new and break them in! If you're not used to. Shoe it'll hurt, every time.
