Crocs = Best Comfy Park Shoes?

I walk (more of a slow jog) through the parks for long stretches. Wife is trying to get me to slow down and not feel like I need to do every inch of the park in one day, but it's not working. So, footwear is a big deal.

I wear Birkenstocks Milanos, and literally have had no foot problems or soreness in the parks. I just wouldn't wear anything that can rub anywhere! Flip flops have given her trouble with blisters between toes. She'll also say sketcher go walks were pretty good.

Personally, I've had a heel spur in both feet, plantar fasciitis in both feet, and patella tendinitis in one knee (running injury, not disney injury). What ever you use, wear them around the house for a bit when they're new and break them in! If you're not used to. Shoe it'll hurt, every time.

Good advice! Thanks

i found crocs (had about 15 pairs - different styles/colors) much better than most footwear, with fewer blisters & a bit less foot pain than most other options.....

but then i found teva mush :lovestruc
we walk miles daily in WDW, and for me (& my family, friends) there is no comparison - teva mush flip-flops are sooo comfy.
btw, i've worn crocs, fit-flops, running shoes (Adidas, NB, nike), and quite a few other styles/brands of footwear - every single one gave us blisters and pain except the tevas. (we had the same problem with tripping in crocs - they would unexpectedly grip mid-stride, and we often had to take them off in rain - and try to dry them off - as our feet slid sideways, forward & backward as we tried to walk :scared: )

hopefully, you will find "the one" that makes your feet happy :)

Jambu makes a great walking shoe, cocos, fit flops and the Walking Company has a sandal called the abeo. Just walked from downtown Disney to Old Key West in my Abeo sandals without any problem. I've been wearing the Jambu and Fit Flops in the parks too. No problems and I suffer from planters fasciitis!

I'm interested in the teva mush now. Where can I get them?

Look into Keen's. Their sandals are close toed, and we just got a pair, and right out of the box they very comfortable.

Is this true? I've never worn them and I'm looking for the most comfortable type of shoe to wear around epcot for a lot of walking all day in the summer sun. I definitely want to be comfortable but cute too! Any thoughts? :cheer2:

To me, the crocs were awful, especially when wet - too easy to slip down - feet squishy and slippery inside.

I wear a comfy, supportive athletic shoe with synthetic walking socks and my feet always stay 'happy'!

My wife wears croc clogs all over the parks and loves them. She has about 15 of those things you put in the holes - all Disney characters. She also has croc flips flips and likes those too, not not as much as the clogs.

And if you're cool you won't have the strap around the back of your ankle. Always make sure it's pushed forward! :)

I usually wear sneakers, but last trip got an awful blister I think from swelling and heat. I just bought my second pair of crocs Vezzy flops. SO comfy and have great support. They have a ribbon between the toes, anything rubber will give me blisters. I kinda want to try out keens, but I'm nervous to pay so much for a somewhat ugly shoe! So for now, I'm planning on alternating sneakers and crocs!

I bought a pair of keens and love them! I was so surprised at how comfortable they are. They are in no way cute, but I figure there will be lots of people wearing ugly shoes. And honestly, as long as they are comfortable, who cares!

I have a pair of Disney croc flip flops and I love them but will not wear them in the parks. Last year during a rain shower, I slipped and landed on my hip - not much fun there! I found them to be very slippery on some wet surfaces.

I wear my running shoes and recently bought a pair of Keens that I am wearing now to get "broken" in before my trip. The Keens are very comfortable, but I'm also looking at maybe trying a pair of Skechers GoWalks. Not a huge fan of Skechers so I want to try them out first.

Skechers has a new line of sneakers that have memory foam insoles. Last time I went to WDW I took what I considered my MOST comfortable shoes...a pair of converse and a pair of Sperrys. Well, they were NOT comfortable. Now that I am going back I bought a pair of these...

I got the black & pink pair. Wore them the other day to work to break them in...did NOT need to. They are SOOOOOO comfortable!

I absolutely agree. The new Skechers memory foam shoes are the best shoes ever! I have terrible foot problems (surgeries on both of my feet) and had not a single bit of foot pain on my trip in February. And no break-in period needed! I can't say enough good about them.

I've found Kurus (kurufootwear.com) to be extremely comfortable. I especially like the blue/brown Chicanes.

I do not like Crocs or Sketchers.

I wear good broken-in running shoes (usually Nike or Asics) or Keens.

I try to rotate between my athletic shoes (Nikes), comfy sandals, and flip flops during our trip. But let me qualify by saying I have no feet issues, and can really make just about anything work. We're park commandoes, too, so we're logging 10-13 miles/day, easily.

I just bought these, and am really impressed with how comfortable they are, and I'm digging the wet/dry option.

May end up wearing them the whole trip!

I don't like crocks because on flat/smooth floors when its wet they are a HUGE slip and fall hazard.
