I was all hyped to wear these to the park but found that I could barely wear them for more than 15 minutes at a time. They don't have very good arch support and definitely not enough padding under the feet. I was so dissappointed that the only time I wore these were to the hotel swimming pool.

At least for my feet, I would have been better off buying an athletic brand with better support. My son did not wear his crocs Beach either, except to the pool. :confused3

OH NO!! I got them for this exact reason. They seem comfy enough right now but I am not on my feet all day.

I seem to get heel pain with most sandals, sometimes even regular athletic shoes too, not arch issues though. Anyone else like me and found them to be ok?

I'm sorry to hear that! I have three pairs of the Athens and took them with me to Disneyland. I wore them the whole time and for the first time ever, I had no foot or leg pain and got no blisters. I am very pooh sized too, so I usually always have some kind of pain, but not with the Athens!

I wore mine daily, but my feet ached something feirce. I didn't get any blisters or hot spots, but my feet hurt so bad by the end of the day that I was about in tears.

Are you serious? :confused3

I guess it must come down to the person because I wore my the whole time I was there this past Saturday for about 20 hours straight - no lie and I didn't have one problem with them. They worked so well for me that I will never wear anything but these Athens to the parks again. This has been my best investment thus far.

I sent my Athens back the day I got them. For some reason, they just were NOT comfy enough. Last trip I wore my Beaches the entire time, except one day when I tried my New Balance Walking shoes. I went right back to the Crocs Beaches and never did the tennies again, though. I get heel pain if I am not careful, just to clarify.

Funny how everyone has such different experiences! Yeah, I was really dissappointed because I had planned on wearing these at least a couple of times for half the day.

DITTO! I tell my husband all the time that these Athens are my miracle shoes!!!

y'know after wearing teva mush which DO have a support in the arch, all day I found my feet, back, legs and hips were screaming! (I am only 26 and a size 2!) so I thought it was so odd that I was in so much pain. I can't imagine walking around in the Athens all day...I tried those things on once and there was no arch support and no padding for the feet!

it's interesting that some people do great in them and others just can't do it!

Actually I wore my Birkenstocks to Manhattan for a marathon day to show my visiting sister around and we tromped all over that city and I didn't have one single second of foot, leg, back or hip pain!

YAY birkenstocks!!! :cool1:

Wow, isn't the human body amazing? I too LOVE the Athens, got my DH hooked too. We wore them for our recent trip in June. They were just great. Didn't get the usual heel pain/burning as we always did. But they are hard to walk in when they get wet. Will wear nothing but for our next trip in Sept.

I love my athens and I have very high arches(I normally wear arch supports in my sneaks). I have worn them for 5 hours of walking and touring in Cooperstown, NY and the baseball hall of fame and my feet, legs and back felt great. I hope they work as well for longer periods of time, too. Any other suggestions for really high arches?

I just bought my first pair of Crocs and am a little disappointed too. I was so psyched because of all the great reviews, but I wore them the other day to walk around an art fair and by the end (about 3 horus) I felt like they were getting uncomfortable.

I also *might* be allergic to them! I developed dozens of little red welts on the tops of my feet. At first I thought they were bug bites, and I haven't ruled that out, but they improved quite a bit when I stopped wearing the Crocs. (I had been wearing them for several days straight.) I am going to wait a few more days then try wearing the Crocs again to see if the welts come back.

I do like the shoes, but they're not as miraculous for me as they are for so many others!

After reading all these negative reviews - I just went to purchase another pair of my favorite shoes - Athen Crocs! :cool1: I am sorry, but I still cant believe how many people dont like these shoes, they are truly a blessing!

Now I have two pair. My favorite are still the Black and Khaki because they go with mostly anything!

I have a pair of the Athens and bought a pair for DS who is a lifeguard, has very flat feet and since he is on his feet all day but cannot wear his athletic shoes with the orthotics and comes home in agony. He loves his, says it has made a huge difference.

It took me a couple of weeks to break them in, the stiff strap gave me a blister on the side of my foot. I find them comfortable and they stand up to a day of shopping. For WDW I bought a really good pair of Asics and personally I think the comfort level is equitable.

However, I do love flippy shoes and these are by far the most comfortable flippys I have ever worn. On the downside the bottoms seem to be wearing down quite rapidly, I bought them the end of May, I wear them to work alot but I sit at a desk all day. Given the price I was expecting them to last a little longer, I don't think they are going to make it thru the summer.

I was looking on the Crocs website and they have the AVP version of the Athens, seems to have double the padding, anyone have any experience with these, I might order a pair and try them out.

I have Crocs Beach shoes. I just got them yesterday for my upcoming trip to Disney because I'd heard how comfortable they are. With them being a closed toed shoe, do they rub your nail polish off?? (I just got a pedicure and my toes are just tooooo pretty!hahaha) :rotfl:

I bought a pair today and am going to start using them to walk. I figure if they don't bother me then I'll wear them to Disney.
