i've been reading all about crocs and disney. seems to be that they are great to wear around the parks, and that most everyone says that their feet didn't hurt afterwards. :thumbsup2

my question is this....

is this also true for overweight people? :confused3

my husband and i are overweight and i didn't know if a more supportive athletic shoe would be better or not. i know that i love my crocs and wear them a lot and have never had a problem, but i've never worn them for anything like disney.

anyway, does anyone have any insight on this?

Thanks in advance!

Well lets see---I am probably 65 pounds over weight and I love my crocs. Give them a try and see for yourself. Good luck!

I'm overweight and had no problems. I also have the additional problem of SUPER FLAT FEET. I couldn't even tell I had been on my feet all day.

I am extremely overweight and just spent 9 days/8 nights at WDW around Christmas. We did 6 park days and I work my Relief Crocs everyday (I have really wide feet so even though I don't podiatry issues, they provided the width I need). My feet got tired, as you would expect, but held up amazingly well! I am so happy I bought my Crocs and they helped make my trip great!

Im pooh sized.... 22/24 and I absolutely LOVE my crocs!!! they are very supportive too. On a side not I bought a pair of New Balance walking shoes and they are comfy but NOWHERE near the crocs. I live near Bush Gardens in VA and went over 7 hrs strong before my feet started to feel tired... Hope this helps!!!!

I am super pooh sized and have had no problems at all. As a matter of fact I wear them everyday now. I have 14 pair. It's an obsession. My feet have never felt so comfortable.

Well, hello fellow WDW and BG fan! LOL

I live in Va Beach and I do BG usually in my NB sneakers. I also found a pair of Birkenstocks made of the same kind of material as Crocs and I wear those to Water Country. I love them! And I'm Pooh sized, too.

Anyways, nice meeting ya!

Just to give you the male point of view:

We had a 10 day trip to WDW in late-Sept early-Oct of last year. I have been putting on more and more weight for the past few years, and my feet always hurt after the first day of a WDW trip. At the time of our last trip, I weighed just over 400 pounds. I wore my Crocs every single day, and my feet never hurt once on the entire trip. My wife and stepson are not really overweight, but they had no problems with their Crocs, either.

OT, but in case you're interested, I am having gastric bypass surgery sometime around the first of March, and going back to WDW late-July early-Aug for another 10 day trip. Should be 100 pounds lighter (at least) by then.

Hi. Does it matter if your Crocs are real or fake? I know mine are fake, bought last year at Target. Both DD14 and I are planning on buying the real ones this March in Florida. Maybe I should get them before Disney, to give them a try.

I don't have any personal experience with "fake" Crocs, as we have only owned the "real" ones, but I have read several threads on here in the past year or so stating that the "fake" ones are nowhere near as comfy.

I have the AirWalk (fake crocs from Payless) ones and absolutely NO problems. I have no arches, so I always have sore feet, but NOTHING; not even stiff. I also have a pair of lime green Kamodos (couldn't get them on crocs) and had no problems, really. There is a little more of an arch in them, so after standing on one place for awhile, my arches would start to ache, but once we got walking again, I'd be fine. I have a pair of the mary jane crocs and I didn't think they were any more comfy than my airwalks.
