I would like to have a crock pot each time I go with my family. But we probably will only go every 3years or so. I've thought about shipping there and back (how do you get it back?)(as heavy as it is it probably would not be worth it), owner's locker though with as often as we are going we could buy a new one each time for less and leave it. We won't have a car but we will get a grocery order from wegoshop so they can pick up the crock pot for us if we went this option. What do ya'll think?

I've heard of people at the values passing around a mini-fridge. Could probably do this with owner's locker and the crockpot if owners locker would do this and there was interest and a way to communicate it.

I don't know what do you all think of my options?:confused3

I took my crockpot as a carryon from Providence to MCO. TSA did look it over, but in MCO the agent winked at me and said "That's a crock!" and added he bet my family enjoyed what I cooked.

I don't know how well a swap would work, especially since it's hard on Bell Services and items seem to go missing. And now the DIS is closing threads where any money has been exchanged.

Although mine is in my owners locker now I didn ship it down to start - along with about 40 lbs of other stuff:rotfl2: and it was about $35 one way for everything!!! I think if you are going to ship - make it worth it!!!

I've been rethinking owner's locker. There are obviously other things I could put into it with my crock pot and there is the possibility that in the future we would go more often, with less people. At first though we were either going for a grand villa or two 2 bedrooms, whatever we could get at a premium season because that's when some of my family can get away and I would need 3 years worth of points. However, things change and you begin doing things differently after a while.

I have to look into the price more and think of all the things I can put into it.

For those of you that have shipped a crock pot down there and keep it in an Owner's locker, which one did you buy? How many quarts? Does it take up the majority of your OL space? I want to do this but am afraid that it won't be "worth" it if it's the only thing that I can store in the OL. It would be great to have a crock pot swap and I also would love to see a griddler as a swap too!! TIA

You'd be surprised how much you can get in an OL! Also, Target sells a small griddle for $20 - I keep it in the bottom of one of our lockers and it doesn't even cover the entire bottom. Here it is with all our OL stuff, for size comparison:
