I know people who do stroller swaps, and such. Does anyone know/is anyone interested in doing a crock-pot swap?

I have been doing meal planning for our Dec 15-22 trip, and even though we have the kitchen it always seems like dinner is too difficult. I'm going to attempt to do a couple crockpot meals this time.

We'll see...

They don't do swaps anymore on the DIS.

Actually, this is a better item for an Owners Locker, I think.

I did use a Crock Pot a couple of trips ago, and it worked well. We drove it to WDW and home again, but I may consider buying one for the OL one of these days...:scratchin

Perhaps you can stop at Walmart and pick up an inexpensive (less than $20) crockpot. Then you can leave it for the housekeeper to keep. Just write a note that it's okay to take it.

There was a bonnet creek swap I was part of until my trip fell through...

I believe that the swaps originally involved money changing hands. That aspect went away first, IIRC. Then, the values got fridges, so no more fridge swap. Having a stroller rental company as a sponsor meant no more stroller swap.

I am hoping that the tree exchange will remain exempt because:

-I don't think there are any DIS sponsors supplying Christmas trees.

-The trees go back home at the end of the season. Bell Services has to deal with us for just a couple of months.

Thanks you guys.

Anyone know of a thread for a tree exchange at SSR?

I haven't purchased an Owner's Locker yet. Don't know why...it would probably be a great investment for us!

If you stay until June I'll take it off of your hands! lol
Actually, I think I am going to purchase one or two online from WalMart and have them shipped to AKV. We have 12 people coming in June so I think we'll need two. I'm hoping that someone in our party ends up driving and I can borrow their car for a few hours or they bring one or two with them. If I do end up buying them online I'll have to figure in the shipping time.
If you have any recipes you'd like to share, please feel free to..... I'm always up for a tried and true easy meal. We have 5 kids so I use our crock pot constantly. Some meals I try especially to see if it's something that we'd actually eat while at WDW.
