I leave my crockpot on low all day for 10-12 hrs. That might be a little long, as sometimes the meat will be a tad dry.
I recommend defrosting and browning your meat, but if you don't have time or don't want to, you can put in frozen meat. I've put in a frozen chuck roast and frozen chicken with no problems at all. But like I said, if you brown it, it will taste better...
