I was just on the phone with CRO confirming our reservations for this trip.

I was trying to confirm exactly how many bunk bed rooms there were in the hotel. I stated that different internet sites had different numbers. She then states "Not Mousesavers I hope". Shocked, I didn't really say much to that. Actaully, we got the package info from Mary, but I didnt want to reveal that.

She then says "That site is a bunch of peoples opinions and her information is inaccurate.. We watch that site everyday, and we laugh at the inaccuracies".

Still shocked, I say "I've never had a problem. It been entirely accurate for me"

I then just say thanks to her for noting my 5th floor room request, and say goodbye.

I love Mary's time effort for her website, and I thank her for all her effort, time.

I've been an avid reader since it was a "backpage" of her personal site.. so anyway.. Its hard to not take it personally.

Thanks Mary!

She's crazy! I would never plan a Disney vacation without Mousesavers! I love her site for all things Disney related, as well as the DIS boards of course!

Cindy, I'm with you on that one. I think mousesavers.com is one of the best sources of information on WDW.

If mousesavers is so inaccurate and ridiculous, then why are they "watching" it everyday?;) ;)

That was rude!

When I called and made my ressies last year, the person I spoke to had never heard of the site.

I also told her about the Dis board and she said she would have to look at it.

Wow, I have been impressed with the lengths Mary goes to ensure that her information is accurate. Still, mistakes or misinformation can happen and if the reservationist truely notices something that is not accurate, the appropriate action would be to e-mail Mary so she can look into it.

I, too, add my thanks to Mary!!

I the past, I found that if I mentioned something about "seeing it on the internet" CRO would clam up or get very defensive.

It's probably because it's a source of discounts for us. I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't be aware of the codes or specials that are out without Mousesavers and CRO probably would rather we didn't know about the discounts and just pay rack rate.

Mary and Mousesavers were mentioned in a Disney article on MSN yesterday!! She's a popular girl!

Thanks Mary for keeping us all up to date and helping us save money!

Cindy , that happened to me 2 years ago also but guess what?? Disney was the one who made a mistake on my ressie , they made my ressie with the code, sent me a confirmation and then when I checked in they were charging me full rate, nobody knew anything about a code. Thank God I had my confirmation with me and they had to honor that!
Mousesavers has always been right on target for me!

I agree with everyone that they just don't like it when "outsiders" know more than they do!!!! Her information is always accurate (at least in my cases) and she has saved me a ton of $$$.

Thanks Mary.... please keep up the good work... I don't know what I would do without your site!!!!

I think I would have had a hard time not commenting on the inaccuracies and inconsistencies that CRO has all the time.

The more we know, the more they have to work. They feel the same way about ALL Disney websites. They've made comments to me several times about the information I get online. Some are nice about it, some aren't.

Mousesavers is one of the best!

That CRO probably doesn't like having to search for codes & being informed of them by informed callers. Face it, it makes more work for them. She sounds like one of those CROs that I politely end the conversatin with and then call back hoping to get a more helpful CRO.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why CRO doesn't like the mousesavers site.....it saves US money!! :bounce: As much as I love WDW, finding out what discounts CRO has is harder than trying to pull teeth out of an alligator with both your hands tied behind your back!

CRO doesn't make a commission off their reservations so I doubt they care whether we save money or not. I think the other posters hit on the reason, it causes them more WORK to give discounts.

I think it must be difficult for CRO cm's to keep up with everything in a place like Disney where internal communication isn't always what it could be. I guess I'd get a bit defensive with a customer, or "guest", who is more knowlegable about the product than I am. It could be a little embarassing.

I'm always better informed than the CM's thanks to Mousesavers and WDWinfo. If we can know all the details why can't Disney communicate better with their employees? Or maybe they do and some of them just don't pay attention. This website and Mary's were also mentioned in Consumer Reports and they really do their research before recommending anything.
