Critters at Cabin?

I've seen snakes, and gators. The thing that really bothered me, though, especially when I lived in Florida, were the Palmetto bugs. If you've never seen one, picture a flying roach that will crawl up on the table while you are eating a sandwich and ask, "You done with that yet?" Bllleeeeecccchhhh

And I really hate the ones that just fly by and snatch it outta your hands as your fix'n to take a bite, and didn't even ask.

Yes I have seen those at the beach, we always go to Laguana Beach in the panhandle but actually I don't see them like I use to since Katrina.

Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences, it makes me feel better about the scorpians, as for the snakes I know I will look under the bed 5 times before I fall asleep and I will jump periodically thinking I feel something crawling on me but its fine cause I will be at Disney World.:woohoo:

Yes, we do have scorpions here in Fl, but I have only seen one in the house once. It was when I was little and my mom opened the newspaper on the floor and one came crawling out. She screamed at me to run and I went flying through the living room and onto the back of the couch, hence my fear of the creepy little creatures - Thanks, Mom! I know in my head that their sting is not much worse than that of a wasp or bee, but to this day, they are the only "bug" I am really scared of.
