Critter Country Down For Six Weeks?

I guess my biggest complaint is the lack of good information. We rode the train several times during the weekend and heard the CMs announce that CC was closed, but everything would be open next month. :confused3 I know Disney is listing Splash as refurb until May.

I honestly believe that the motivation to close the entire area was money. Splash and Hungry Bear refurbs do make the area ugly (imho), but I still would have preferred that over CC being closed.

We missed Pooh and the bakery last weekend.

I will be sad to be missing CC when we go

I was really looking forward to the chocolate dipped pretzels at the Pooh Corner candy shop when we are there in a couple weeks. I have never looked for them any other places in the parks. Does anyone know if they sell them elsewhere?

Check Marceline's in DTD - they have a lot of the fresh made treats there too. I think I've seen the pretzel rods there in the past, but not sure.

Dammm 6 weeks!!! The must be adding the loop to the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh! :thumbsup2

Also just my speculation. Do you know what the best que in WDW's MK is? The new one they rebuilt on thier Pooh. What if DL is getting a similiar treatment?

Considering the fact that the queue in WDW was redone to make it look more woodsy and charming, I kind of doubt it. DL's queue already has the rustic charm thing going on (and does it better, IMHO). The interactive honey wall things in WDW are unnecessary in DL, since there's no room for them and the ride hardly ever has a line.

Operationally, it makes sense. Especially during the first two months of the year.
I apologize if I missed this somewhere - but do we know when Pooh is estimated to be back up and running again?

Do you know what is happening to the MK's HM que? It was perfectly fine too.

I'm not saying that in CC the Pooh is getting a redesigned que. Just suggesting the more could be going on than has been reported.

Pooh isn't reported to be closed for any other reason than that critter country is completely closed down and to reopen in 6 weeks. Though we could call it 5 weeks now. Hope that it works out for your March visit.

ooooh so CC is only shut off for 6 weeks!!
YAYYYY that means it will be open when I go in March! I really like the Pooh ride :goodvibes
But Splash & Hungry Bear are down for much longer, yes? Or will Hungry Bear be open in 6 weeks as well?
I know Splash is closed till May. Wasn't sure about the rest. :confused3

So no loop then?

At our house the Pooh ride is affectionately known as "Winnie the Poohs acid trip".

Ha!

We call it Pooh on Crack!:rotfl: And then of course it's Pooh and Crack, get it!:lmao: Oh geez....

BUT... I do love this ride! Even though it's a bit "far out". My fav seeing the guys from Country Bear Jamboree. Reminds me of happy times as a kid watching CBJ with the family...

Oh goodness...you're going to make me explain...:scared1:

To all who may read this, I sincerely apologize in advance...

Ok, butt "crack" and pooh as in "poop". Get it??:confused3 Please tell me you do because I'm not sure I can explain further.:rolleyes1
