Okay, background: 2 families going with 4 children ( 2 boys, 6&7 2 girls both 4).

We arrive Sunday may 15, with no park ticket for that day. Planned on having supper at chef mickeys. I've heard not so great reviews on food but we are looking for a meal to start the vacation off with some mouse love. Suggestions welcome.

We are planning 3 park tickets with one water ticket. No hoppers. And we aren't big breakfast eaters so we were thinking breakfast in rooms. Also mainly we want to hit parks early to avoid long lines with young kids. Don't want to waste an hour on breakfast. We have dining plan.

Mon: animal kingdom
Lunch: ? Quick service ?
Supper: rainforest cafe.

*both families have done riskier house before, kids all love rainforest cafe.

Tue: Magic kingdom.
Lunch: bog
Supper: ? Ohana ?

Wed: blizzard beach
Lunch: quick service at waterpark
Supper: 1900 park fare

Thursday: Hollywood studio
Lunch: ? Quick service
Supper: shutters ( we are staying at CBR, don't plan on spending all day at HS, so head back to resort to relax, eat, then maybe back to HS for the evening)

Friday: breakfast, aka Mickey waffles , at resort before leaving.

Thoughts? I've read some recent bad reports on Ohana. Any other suggestions for supper on the MK night? It would have to be somewhat close to MK as we plan on going there in the evening.

I would skip Ohana, the waits can go way past ADR times and that's a lot of food before going to a park. i would think about WWC or GFC. Or even a CS at a MK Resort. Maybe Pizza Planet at DHS. and I think Chef Mickey's is a great first night choice-don't forget a spin on the monorail

Chef mickeys is great for dinner! What about something in Dhs. Or even Disney springs and trex! Just like rain forest cafe food :)

AK: for QS, do Yak & Yeti or Flame Tree BBQ. I am not a huge fan of Rainforest -- it is the same setup they have everywhere and isn't unique to AK. I would suggest going over to AKL for Boma or Sanaa. If the kids insist, I guess you might be stuck with RC.

HS day: if you plan to head back to HS for Fantasmic, do a F! dinner package at Mama Melrose, or book Sci Fi for dinner.

Ohana is mostly well-loved. Otherwise, you could bide your time for Skipper Canteen ADRs, or do Liberty Tree for the MK dinner.

I'm with you on boma over RC! We were there last May and did boma and I loved it! Unfortunately in our party of 8, I'm the only adventurous eater. My husband hated boma and the other adults have no interest. My kids would go back - not for the food though, just to hang out at the resort. :)

Yes I was thinking pizza planet. Kids enjoy toy story so they might enjoy. I'm really on the fence about Ohana. I've heard mixed reviews lately. What is WWC / GC? I'm not up with the abbreviations.

GFC = Grand Floridian Cafe at the Grand Floridian

My guess is WWC is actually WCC, Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge. I'd throw in Kona Cafe, which is a table service at the Poly that isn't Ohana.

Both are accessible from the MK via boat (or monorail for GF).

Downtown Disney-Disney springs. Shopping and eating :) visit T-Rex there

My kids love T-Rex. I have all girls and all my friends kids love it!

Sorry about that :duck: I would check out menu's on allearsnet.com. We have always enjoyed Grand Floridian Cafe it is a little calmer then some of the other places and have always have great service and food

Supper: rainforest cafe. Not real crazy about this, as there are so many better places around this area. Have you considered Tusker House, Boma or Sanaa?

Tue: Magic kingdom.
Lunch: bog We just were there for lunch a few weeks ago, great theming, food was good
Supper: ? Ohana ? Love Ohana, great choice

Wed: blizzard beach
Lunch: quick service at waterpark
Supper: 1900 park fare Not our favorite character meal, food was just OK

Thursday: Hollywood studio
Lunch: ? Quick service This is a tough one, we tend to snack more at this park for lunch. If you want a TS, 50s PTC is a must do for us
