We (me, DH, DD8 and DD6) will be at WDW for DH's conference over Memorial Day weekend / week. DH has a conference June 2-4 so our park days will be 5/28 - 6/1. With the May hours out, DH8 and I spent a while afternoon revising the itinerary to come up with this. Alot of the ideas came from stuff I saw on this site.

Thurs 5/27 Arrive MCO 9:30 pm take town car to CSR. Zonk out.

Friday 5/28 AK (EMH) until ~close. RFC @ 2 for lunch / dinner using VKL vouchers. Switch over to MK for spectro.

Sat 5/29 MGM (EMH) until ~1pm. Back to hotel for lunch / rest / pool. To Epcot around 4-5pm. PS @ Biergarten ~7pm, stay for Illuminations.

Sun 5/30 MK (EMH). Crystal Palace PS @ 11:45 for lunch. Back to room ~2:30 for rest / pool. MGM @ 5-ish. PS Hollywood and Vine for Fantasmic dinner pkg. Fantasmic @ 10:30.

Mon 5/31 Sleep in. Hotel Pool / lunch. Epcot ~1pm. Switch to MK ~6 for few rides & WIshes (only time wishes is offered during our trip -- in May)

Tues 6/1 AK until lunch. Pool / lunch / rest @ hotel. Epcot for ice cream social (and rehitching ceremony -- shhh. Don't tell DH!). Stay until close or we poop out.

Wed 6/2 DH @ conference. Me and DDs character BF @ either Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Fare (any recommendations?) then back to hotel to swim. Dinner w/ DH -- depending on his business obligations.

Thurs 6/3 DH @ conference. Me and DDs -- hang by pool. ??? Resort hop? Dinner w/ daddy.

Fri 6/4 DH @ conference. Me and DDs -- fly out @ 11:55 to get back in time for dance recital dress rehearsal. DH flies out late that evening.

Any comments / suggestions VERY, VERY much appreciated. This is our first trip to the World.

Thank you!!!!

I think it's a pretty good plan. For 6/1 I'd plan to spend the am at MK rather than AK. You'll probably finish everything at AK the first day, especially using EMH. MK is usually a two day park, especially with 6 and 8 year olds.

For the days DH is at his conference you can play mini golf, go to DQ (not sure if your daughters will like that), or rent paddle boats or water mice. What about going to a water park for a day?

For an a dinner/after dinner activity on conference days, why not try the luau, HDD, or Cirque.

Enjoy your trip, it sounds great.

Instead of sleeping in on 5/31 go to MK again instead of Epcot. You have two days that you won't be going to a park, so you'll be able to rest then. Go to Epcot on 6/1 instead of AK (AK is my DD and DS's least favorite park and they are fine with only one day there). Can you get tickets to DQ? My DS (was 10 last year) loved this place and there is plenty to keep a 6 and 8 yr. old occupied for several hours. How about going to the petting zoo at the Fort Wilderness? Have you put in time to go to DTD? There are several areas that your DD's will love to play at and they are free (pop jet area and Lego play area). We loved Chef Mickey's the most, but if your girls are into the princesses, they would probably like 1900 Park Fare the best.:earsgirl:

Thanks for the input!

MY itinerary had us at AK for only one day, and MK the other, but DD8 threw a fit over that. She loves animals and insists that that will be her favorite park. We may just roll with the punches there. If they adore AK and want to go back, we'll do that. If she's had enough, we can do it the way I wanted and add more MK time. Glad to hear that you guys think that 1 day was enough for animal kingdom.

I also appreciate the suggestion about DTD. I always pictured that as more "adult" centered activities. (Well not *adult* as in XXX :smooth: but adult as in grown up / boring for kids.) We may do that on Thursday and have DH meet us down there for dinner.

I can't wait until I'm no longer a newbie and can GIVE advice instead of just receive it!

With three EMH's and two late nights (illuminations 9p & fantasmic 10:30) you and your kids will need to sleep in! If there was a way to put that day on Sunday it would be even better.

I'm sure you will have a great time no matter what the final result. It is WDW after all.
